I have this feeling in a few years time the Brannings will become extinct. Jake who plays Max, despite how creepy the character is, without him the family would already be gonners. Lauren and Abi are crucial to the family's survival too. But Tanya seriously needs to come back, Rainie permanently and Cora needs to stay as well.

Jack Branning tho I never want to see return to the Square again.

I don't at all want the Brannings to return to the forefront of the show but DTC needs to be careful that they don't just become wasted.

No they dominated the show for the last few years so its about time they started leaving. The only Branning I want to see back is Tanya and she is actually cross and married Branning

Jake Wood said he will stay with EE for life and Jac Jossa recently said she had no intention of leaving.

The Brannings/Mitchells/Beales will be the only names still on screen out of the current cast come 2020 mark my words.

Not unless the Executive Producers decides to axe the Brannings then Jake won't be staying for life

Max's character feels exhausted, but then I feel the same about Ian, Sharon and Phil. They all seem to depend on having a 'love' interest. Lauren is a popular character and a decent enough actress. Abi is terminally dull and could benefit from a couple of years away. Dot of course must stay, and I can't see Carol going anywhere. I don't mind Cora and Raine, although they're not Brannings.

Then there is Stacey...will she still count as a Branning ?

But no producer will axe them. Jac Jossa is one of their most popular, if not the most popular, member of the EE cast on social media.

Yes Jake Wood has expressed his desire to stay with the show long term on a number of different occasions. He's also very good friends with Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt who've both been on EE forever and must have amassed quite a fortune staying in a well paid job. So through them he has probably seen the benefits of staying long term. Jac Jossa will probably quit soon enough but the actress playing Abi unless she's axed I can't see her going anywhere.

I can't see j jossa staying around anything more than another year.

She will get another work without any problem

A year ago when she was portrayed as the number one star of the show I saw her staying a long time

However now she has been diluted a bit not so sure

If Abi does leave I think it will be a year in September and go to university but will still visit occasionally. No EP would ever axe Ian, Phil and Sharon it would take a lot of guts to axe one of them 3 or all of them but if Ian left then we would have no Beale's on the Square and if Sharon left then no Watt's on the square

I follow her on twitter and she has made it blatantly clear several times she knows that EE is the only thing she will get. Its refreshing to see someone know that if they leave nothing will become of them.

I can't stand any of them. Kill them all off in a huge fire or something. And bring back Jack and Tanya to kill them off too.

No they shouldn't all be killed off. Should Oscar be killed off he is a Branning but he is only a child as well so not all of them should be killed off. Did you like Max, Tanya, Lauren and Abi when they first arrived so when thy were new to Eastenders or did you think they were ok? Did you like Bradley and Jim?

Brilliant. Can't stand any of the Brannings. Horrible family that over dominated the program and have nowhere to go anymore.

No, Oscar's a child. Of course he shouldn't be killed off.

However, I've noticed that you tend to do this a lot. I get that you're passionate about the show and like certain characters more than some posters do but you should accept that for some people on here, not everyone is keen on the Brannings.

Personally I think they're a bit lost at sea as characters. I don't care whether they stay or go at the moment. I don't mind Lauren and Abi at times but I've gone off Max as a character, pretty much don't want to see Tanya return and can find Carol pretty grating at times.

Obviously Oscar isn't a horrible character, given that he's 6 years old.

But Max, Derek, Jack, Tanya, Kirsty, Lauren and Joey and and were absolutely VILE.

If all the Branning's were killed off like Max, Tanya, Jack and Lauren ect then who would look after Oscar its not fair if everyone in his family dies apart from growing up without a mum and dad. Did you like Max, Tanya, Lauren and Abi from July 2006-early 2008 or did you think they were ok nothing special?

I wouldn't mind returning for a wedding or a funeral of Abi or Lauren or a funeral of Max but I just want Max and Tanya to get back together and move away together and I will be happy then

Oscar isn't real so it doesn't matter.

And I thought the new Brannings had potential, but Stax ruined them.
