Hi all,

I have a Three phone, I bought it myself and I'm using the Three network. I like the network, but I have a bank that is overly cautious about anything internet-wise, HSBC.

I've just tried to top up my credit by £30, and for the first time ever Three are saying my bank refused authorisation. So I now have to jump through security hoops with the bank to see what the problem is.

It would be much better if I could top up via PayPal to my phone, then my bank only sees PayPal.

Is there any chance of this happening? In the near future?

You may be able to apply for a Paypal credit card, which works like a debit card, and any transaction you make either gets deducted immediately from your paypal balance, or charged to your chosen paypal linked credit card.

Basically you can then use your paypal account, for any purchase where the Vendor accepts Credit / Debit cards, regardless of whether they accept Paypal directly.

This card also works at in store terminals too, for face to face over the counter purchases.

Why not just contact the bank and see what the problem is/was?

If they have a problem with anything internet then PayPal is internet as well!
