Does The Samsung Galaxy S3 Phone Screen Break Easily?
I'm thinking of buying this phone at some point and while I was looking at a particular auction site earlier, I noticed a fair few of them up for sale had broken screens. Do they break easily? Anything else I need to be aware of that might put me off about them?

Why even consider the galaxy s3. Its over two years old, will be laggy and is still expensive. You can get much better phones brand new these days for the same price.

I'm mainly interested in it for internet useage whille I'm not at home and I'm quite interested in the carphone warehouse offer of £160 payg with Vodafone. |

Moto G 4G for one which can be had unlocked for under £150
Also vodafone is so expensive for pay as you go. Look at Three or Giff Gaff if you want to be pay as you go Vodafone charge 35p a min and 12p a text. Three charge 3p a min and 2p a text. Internet prices on three and giff gaff are good. Three do 4G as well which is even better as the moto G 4G is a 4G phone. |

I too would recommend the Moto G 4G.
The S3 is still a great phone, but by no means laggy if you change the launcher to something other than Touchwiz, but the Moto G 4G will have the edge (apart from the slightly bigger screen size of the S3). |

If 3G still plays TV/Video images good then I'm not too fussed if it hasn't got 4 G. |

I never cracked the glass on my S3 and dropped it quite a few times, but I had a gel case on it.
My wife is always dropping her phones and broke the screen on her Moto G. They both have Gorilla Glass though so I think she was just unlucky considering she only dropped it onto laminate flooring with a flip open case. I think you can just be unlucky the angle its dropped. |

The S3 is not laggy. It has a bigger (and imo better) screen than the Moto G (4.8 inches with capacitive buttons compared to 4.5 inches with on screen buttons is a big difference in usable real estate). The camera on the S3 is also much better. Is 4G such an advantage on PAYG if you don’t have a decent amount of data to play with?
The Moto G wins on battery life and the fact that it is still being supported by Motorola and will receive the Android L update at least where as the S3 will remain on 4.3. Oh and people sell phones with broken screens on Ebay as that is the best way to get a decent price for them. Search any phone and there will be a large number that wilkl be spares or repairs. |
