Charlie wouldn't be kept secret though surely? We saw him at Christmas, hardly a shock.

There would only be a reason to keep Sean and Zoe a secret and I think either of them (at least played by the original actors) is nigh on impossible.

It is of course the secret return of Viv Slater, who faked her own death to get away from her screechy annoying family. The shock isn't that she's back... it's that she walks into the pub, sees Shirley, and announces "Hello Mum" *duff duff duff*

If its a real return Sean would be amazing. Doubt we will see Zoe back and can't see it being Lynne or Belinda - mores the pity. So Lil Mo would be a good guess. Charlie would hardly be a surprise as he has already done one guest return anyway. Although still nice to see him pop up I guess.

It'll probably be Charlie. He was brought back for Christmas and Derek Martin has said that both he and the rest of the cast want to return. I'd love it if DTC began to rebuild The Slaters<3

I think we will see Belinda again at some point. Out of all the past sisters she is the one who gets name dropped the most thesedays. So they are obviously wanting viewers to remember she exists until the time comes when they are ready to reintroduce her.

I wonder if they will recast or keep Leanne Lakey in the role. Personally I would bring Leanne back. I liked her as Belinda and its a shame they never really got to touch on her characters potential. Like Lynne, Belinda was a victim of Lil Mo, Zoe and Kat becoming the standout stars. Then by the time Stacey and Jean came they no longer needed Belinda.

I'd love to have Belinda back, she was an extremely underrated character! And unlike the other sisters, there is so much scope with her - she'd almost be like a whole new character!

It's like April Branning or Clare Butcher - characters that are often name dropped but did very little during their short stint that if they returned, they'd almost have a clean break.

Michelle Ryan won't return she hated being on the show.

She didn't hate being on the show, she just prefers being a jobbing actress and sees her time there as being in University - as much as we love our college/uni days no-one really wants to back, do they? I don't know why she gets so much stick for not racing back to her first job. She's clearly doing well enough to not need too.

I would like to see Belinda back if the story is good, but it wouldn't seem realistic if she turned up for the birth. She was the sister Kat was least close to and they were often at each other's throats. It did seem like she was deliberately name dropped earlier in the year though; when Kat was looking for Stacey without Alfie knowing about it, she said she was at Belinda's. That was the least convincing explanation she could have come up with.

I hope they don't recast without giving Leanne the opportunity to come back. She was cast in the same way as the others but sidelined when they decided they were introducing one Slater too many. They obviously had the Kat and Zoe story planned out plus Little Mo's domestic abuse and had cast Garry for Lynne, so Belinda it was.
