Ideas for Corrie storylines

A thread to make your own realistic (not just hating on certain characters) storylines for the show. I have an idea for a storyline that would use some characters who don't get many SL and that also has a disaster at the end. If any of you like I would be happy to write the week of the disasters episodes.

It starts off where Norris is in the back of the Kabin late at night, recently Norris has taken an addiction to tablets after suffering a back injury and is ashamed to tell anybody then he hears a crash, he goes running into the shop to see a man stealing money from the till. Norris goes to ring the police however the man pushes him to the ground and runs away leaving the money behind. Norris doesn't want to tell anybody because he would have to tell them about his addiction. A few weeks later, Norris arrives home to Emily being charitable to a homeless man called Darren. Emily lets the man stay for a few nights as she believes she can trust him. Norris tells everyone he doesn't trust this man but can't tell him why. Darren soon gets a job as a waiter in the Bistro and befriends many people (Jason, Kirk, Tyrone, Luke, David and Nick in particular) and he starts to do odd errands for the more elderly people of the street. Darren earns everybody's trust and then him + Roy open the old butchers up as a library. Darren becomes an extremely liked man on the street. Darren then starts to emotionally and physically hurt Norris but nobody believes Norris's accusations saying it's jealousy. One day, Chesney + Rita walk in on Darren hitting Norris and phone the police. Darren is let out on bail with a curfew and all the street apologise to Norris. One week later, Norris is found with a blow to the head by Emily. Luckily Norris survived. Fingerprints on the vase used are proved to be Darren's and the police tell the street to keep their doors locked even the Rovers. It's the night of Chesney and Sinead's engagement party in the Rovers and Darren goes and sets fire to Emily + Norris's house without the police seeing. The fire spreads through all the street and most residents are trapped. The week of episodes surrounding the fire are emotional because of people risking their own lives to save others etc aswell as people losing their loved ones. I won't share who would die just yet so it's a surprise if people want to read what I've written.

Feel free to share your own ideas aswell

I actually really like the beginning of your storyline. However I would avoid another fire story line as it doesn't seem that long ago that the Rovers was on fire. However I like that you are using different characters not just the Barlows, Windasses and Platts.

I really like the idea that the fire spreads through the street and that Norris's role is turned on its head and everyone has to apologise after he gets it right.

David Platt beaten to a pulp is my favoured option.

Beginning of your storyline kind of sounds like the Sienna storyline on hollyoaks but it was good anyway.

I'll just give an overview of where everybody is on the side of the street where the fire takes place.

Corner shop: Dev doing a stocktake
Number 13: Nobody
Number 11: Todd and Tony hatching a plan
Number 9: Nobody
Number 7: Mary with Aadi + Asha
Number 5: Craig with Hope, Ruby and Joseph
Number 3: Nobody (where the fire starts)
Number 1: Ken, Deirdre and Amy
The Rovers: Steve, Liz, Michelle, Chesney, Sinead, Fiz, Tyrone, Beth, Kirk, Emily, Norris, Rita, Gail, Michael, Audrey, Steph, Jason, Tracy, Rob, Sean, Sophie, Maddie, Julie, Anna, Owen, Roy and Eileen

The episode starts with the fire beginning to blaze through the rooms of number 3, sweeping up photos of Emily and Ernest as it spreds in both directions. It then cuts to Number 1 where Ken + Deirdre are watching a documentary. Amy is in bed and Ken starts to smell smoke. He makes nothing of it and carries on watching the show. The fire starts to spread through the walls of Number 5, Craig only sees it when Ruby starts to cry however he can't find the key to open the door. He tries ringing his mum and Kirk but neither pick up. He then shouts next door. Ken springs up out of his chair and rushes upstairs to get Amy. Deirdre phones 999 and tries to escape but the fire is now all the way up the stairs with Ken + Amy trapped up there. Deirdre rushes through the backs and starts knocking on the backs of all the doors. Mary comes rushing out due to Deirdre's screams and then rushes back inside to rescue the children. Deirdre continues to knock on all of the doors. Tony + Todd run into the front of the street and see the whole street starting to become ablaze. Meanwhile in the pub, Audrey notices the fire starting to come through the walls. The duke box blows up and blocks the front door, setting more of the pub on fire. Owen's coat sets on fire and he struggles to be able to get it off. Michelle + Liz rush through to the back to try and open the fully bolted door but the fire has spread and everybody is trapped. Mary knocks on all of the doors of the other side of the street to tell everybody to go to the cafe just in case it spreads. Dev, Todd, Tony, Aada and Asha stand in the middle of the street. Mary then takes the children to the cafe whilst Deirdre screams to get Ken + Amy out. Dev and Tony break the door down and rush inside. Sally, Tim and Maria run into the street, Sally screaming that Sophie is in the Rovers. A table goes flying through the window and we see Jason climb out, he is covered in blood and is one of the only ones who isn't trapped.

I'd add that he is crying at the time and saying "We'll be alright, luv" to his coat.

Another fire? And didn't Joe McIntyre have a bad back and an addiction to painkillers?
