Characters that are of their time
Characters such as Alfie Moon and Sean Tully were very unique and refreshing when they first appeared on their respective shows. But now, both of those characters feel stuck in the past, resting on former glories and are quite annoying because of it.
Can you think of any other examples where this has happened across soap, and perhaps cases in the opposite. The Dingle family, for example, really seem to have moved with the times and refresh themselves with new challenges every so often. |

Sharon. She was better in the 90s. She worked better then.

Bet Lynch probably. I think Julie Goodyear admitted as much.

Kat and Alfie, they should never have been brought back and there return has been a disaster. So much has happened to them that they have lost all purpose and realism. Their story had been resolved and they left a happy couple and that's how it should have remained.

Despite her popularity on here, I can't help but feel that Chrissie Watts would end up that way.
