Obviously the Phil and Shirley fans don't want Phil and Sharon getting married lol. I just want Sharon to dump Phil and defeat him. It really surprises me that people still root for Phil and Shirley after his appalling treatment to Shirley lol
I sort of root for Phil and Shirley. I'm on the fence, I prefer them to Phil and Sharon, mainly I think they have good chemistry as actors and I enjoy their scenes, I think most casual viewers think of that rather than all the crap beforehand, with Ben's return they won't reunite anyway, as long as Shirley doesn't come off as the 'bitter' one, I've liked how they have been writing her lately.

If Sharon marries Phil, how will that affect her revenge plan? I thought she would try to take him for everything prior to the wedding but then this is EastEnders so the big showdown will likely happen at the altar. I think Sharon could go for the Albert, but I'm not sure I agree with her trying to take everything, I never thought of Sharon as that type of character..

Maybe Sharon gets Phil to sign a pre nup where've gets everything if he cheats on her. After they are married Shirley reveals their affair and Phil I'd left with nothing. Sharon then gives Shirley a pile of cash, they had been in the plan together.

If only Phil didn't know about Mick...he has that little chestnut if Shirley ever double crossed him! Can you imagine Shirley and Sharon in cahoots? Ha! I can definitely see them becoming frenemies in the future!

Phil need never know Shirleys role in the deception

It was leaning towards that way at one point now they just hate each other

Haha, I think it will develop that way with them eventually but at the moment, you're right, they just hate each other. Still, there has been some good one liners between them!

Let's count them up...

This is Phil's 6th wedding day. There was Nadia (1993), Kathy (1995), Kate (2003), Stella (2007), Shirley (2011) and now Sharon.

This is Sharon's 5th. There was Grant (1991), Dennis (2005), John (2012), Jack (2013) and now Phil.

If Sharon dumps Phil she gets nothing. She should front it out for a year. Then when they do divorce she can take a bigger cut. No judge would grant Sharon half of Phil's empire unless they were married for a prolonged period.

Difference is she's only been married twice- which is pretty good going given how long she's been in it.

She just likes the opportunity to dress up in white.

I have a feeling that Phil and Sharon will get married. It's too predictable if they don't get married. If Sharon and Phil don't get married, this is Sharon's 3rd non wedding day since her return!!!

I want Sharon to marry Phil take him to the cleaners and preferably respect the marriage so much she moves another man in.....like Grant.
I have no idea if your a fan of either you want them with Phil. Doormats aren't attractive characters in my book. I would love Sharon to dump him on her wedding day, find out about Mick and tell Linda (she deserves some comeuppance for her part in the affair) only for Phil to turn to Shirley who tells him to jog on and she has some dignity. Otherwise there is no other way you can dress it up the woman looks like a doormat.

I want Sharon away from Phil with his cash, and Shirley to grow a spine be with her family. Does the stupid woman realise her grandson could have been seriously hurt. Idiot.

I do think it shows the decline in imaginative storytelling that EE has gone through when they have given Sharon 3 disastrous weddings in 2 years!

I can never have much sympathy for Dennis...he was the one mixed up with gangsters, he killed a man and in the end he went looking for trouble. Live by the sword and all that....

Ah but I had great sympathy for him. The gangsters were like his family, he was sexually abused in care, his father figure fancied him, 'killed' his real Dad and tried to have him killed so he had to kill him first. Then his real father treated him abysmally.

And he died defending his wife's honour which was noble and the stuff of movies!
Arguably stupid, but noble nonetheless.

It fascinates me as there are other characters in EE (including she who cannot be named) who TPTB demand I feel sorry for but I don't!
