Welcome all, new and old, to the 2014-15 DS Premier League Prediction competition, running for the ninth consecutive season no less.

For those that haven’t played before, the rules are fairly simple: Simply guess the scoreline of every single match over the entire 38 match season. For every successful prediction, points will be awarded thus:

Correct result: i.e you pick the right winner of a match, or successfully select a draw: 2 points

Ditto but achieving the correct SCORELINE too: 5 points

Ditto last but in a game with four or more goals: 7 points

The only other rule is you may only select identical scorelines in four of the ten matches each week. NB: Going for a (e.g) 2-1 home win does not constitute an identical prediction to a 2-1 away win.

If you miss a week, don’t worry too much, as only your best 35 of 38 weekly scores will ultimately count. It also gives you room for the occasional stinker.

These points are then fed in a table, just like the PL (well, sort of), and at the end of the season the player with the most points is the winner.

No timewasters please as it takes a lot of time calculating the scores and doing the tables. Only enter if you're prepared to stick with it all season. Cheers.

Any queries please either raise them on the thread or PM me / Dimble Burbleby. Good luck!

Am going to enter over the weekend.
As I am going on holiday Tuesday and because typing the predictions is harder on my Ipad can I submit the following week's predictions as well as next week's.

I agree with that. Should be able to follow the form better this season - J Sports here have teamed up with Perform from Middlesex to offer online live broadcast of the season's 380 games to be accessed via pc/tablet/phone live or on replay, all for 17 thousand Yen (about 100 quid) - how much do you lot pay in Britain to watch the Prem on tv/online? Cheers.

I pay about £58 per month for the full sky package plus a tenner for HD. BT Sport would be an extra £12. Don't know how much sky charge just to have the sports channels. Sounds like you're getting a good deal

Thanks yes, looks like I'm sorted for the footy but I could theoretically subscribe to Sky Go 'just to have the sports channels' to view next summer's Ashes but would need to rely on the servers of my UK VPN......and pay 35-40 quid per month(SKY GO online version) for the 'privilege'
