No I bought an iPad because I wanted a tablet and put simply for my purposes it was better than all of the android offerings right now.

Most widgets are bollocks anyway in my opinion, I've got an HTC one because I prefer it to iPhone but widgets are not the reason I prefer it. I've a single screen where I can access everything I need with one touch or a swipe. Why would I want to have loads of pages of what i consider to be ugly widgets when I can find one I need with one press, and I, personally, can only look at one thing at a time anyway.

For me My iPad has better apps and I believe it is better made than any android tablet out now but have no substantiated facts to back this up. That is the End of my personal opinions on the subject. The minute it changes I'll be back, as I'm no great fan of iOS or paying more than I need to, but I don't like stuff that I believe is unreliable or , in my opinion, rough around the edges either so until then I'll stick with it thanks.
Thanks for your opinion. The bits in bold I have added to make it a more sensible post.

Unless of course you have evidence that "Most widgets are bollocks" and are "ugly" etc

From the man who recommended and iPhone in that 'cheap phone' thread.

Well, I like Android because of its better apps. Better, because developers and manufacturers have enough control to give me what I want.
THANK YOU!

You've finally proven that you are indeed a total bullshit artist!

As the other guy says, please find where I said that.

I'll even give you a helping hand.

It's obviously my opinion.

I personally like having one thing I want to look like at a time on my screen, accessible by a single tap or swipe.

I'm not a fan of pages full of widgets that don't even match or line up properly.

Some widgets are useful (I never said they were all bollocks just most of them IMO), but most of them just seem pointless to me. Why would I wish to see BBC news in a 4x1 area rather than a full screen? Each to their own I guess.

So are you saying that is the link you are referring to? The great thing about threads is no one has to deny anything, it is available for everyone to look up what is said.

If that really is the thread you are making your claims on, then good luck. I'm sure being shown you make stuff up does wonders for your credibility.

I expect your best hope now is to try and deflect attention onto someone else in the hope we all forget you being exposed as making stuff up.

Good luck

And I maybe wrong recall, in a similar thread his choice was 'either a cheap Nokia or an iPhone'.

So where did we end up at for a recommendation, 'anything but Android'.
So, quite obviously GeordiePaul only has an Android phone because he is that claimed expert you need to be to own one.

And rather strangely, he does not like IOS, he only has the iPad for the apps which can't really make IOS easy either can it?

Hilarious.

Very odd post there, but the BIB if you had widgets it would overcome that problem, or an android split screen view even

So, despite sticking with your HTC One 8 you won't go back to Android until all 3 things have changed, that is despite you already being on that HTC M8 Android phone you cannot ever seem to recommend.

And did you ever notice the OPS thread title?
"Another reason why i choose Android...." . We are also in the Mobile Phone Forum though things do tend to wander.

Exactly. Each to their own. I make much more use of Widgets than I do a Facebook app - particularly on my tablets. The great thing is i can see on one screen what the latest headlines are, a weather graph, a stumbledupon page, latest additions to the Play store and much more. I dont have to open each app to see if there is an update.

But if you prefer a simple app launcher with rows of icons (that "line up properly") then thats the freedom of choice you have - but its not really on topic in a thread named "Another Reason why I choose Android". You might be better posting those kinds of things in the Another Reason why I choose Apple thread.

There seems quite a curious thing to me, that being lack of multi screen. There's lot of Android apps to do it but it is only standard apart from on Samsung Android devices.

I wonder why Google held it back. I have a settings widget but overall I like things 'on demand', rather than having widgets operating when they want.
