Hollyoaks E4 Daily Thread - Cindy Disappears- 08/08/14

I agree. I don't think Ste would ever talk about his sex life with Finn in a million years. Even if he had a glass of wine.
:/ does anyone else find Finn attractive

This is the meant to be the very extreme of bi-polar disorder which is not at all typical and never likely to actually help anyone. They just wanted a cliché storyline about hearing voices so they could bring Rhys back. Why do they even bother to say they are raising awareness? I would prefer that they didn't
I hate when Hollyoaks is good on a Friday, I want to know what Cindy is going to do now!!
I love Cindy, one of the classics and she's so good at acting traumatized.

I agree. Even if he didn't mention he was raped, It's still very insensitive.

No but

I agree, it's an insult to real life people who suffer from mental issues.
Ant and Dee Dee look the same age as Mathew , but but they're nearly a year older.
Cindy run away again, surprise, surprise.

I agree.
Hollyoaks is getting even more ridiculous by the minute!

The driverless, passenger less bus and now Cindy's magical disappearance from the hospital (I knew as soon as soon as Tony pulled the curtain round that she was going to disappear!) I was half expecting Tony to pull the curtain back and cry "abracadabra!"

Another thing, I thought Cindy's was supposed to have bi-polar.. Aren't Hallucinations (e.g seeing Rhys) a sign of schizophrenia, not Bi-polar?

I agree. I think it's a rather offensive portrayal to be honest, especially with something so serious as bipolar disorder.

Actually, I think Big Bob saying "abracadabra!" would be pretty fitting.

Honestly other soaps can do mental illness storylines very well. This one is embarrassing compared others I've seen. I wish they just admit they wanted a sensational storyline and stop pretending. It'd be less offensive

Nope.

And they continue to drag it out into oblivion. It's gone on too long already, but they should have had JP at least tell Ste at the end of this episode. Ste already knows JP was raped.

I agree. I'd wish they would admit the same with the JP storyline.
I agree
I can't keep up with Hollyoaks at the moment, it just seems a bit all over the place. Considering Sam and Danny only got killed off a few days ago, there does seem to be any sort of carry on from that accept for the one episode, Ste has his father dies, takes an overdose and is back to normal and this is within 3 episodes. What's happened with the Patrick/Maxine/Dodger stuff, all just seems to have disappeared. Big Bob arrives and threatens Trevor and then by the next episode there is no mention. I love what Hollyoaks does to make these summer storylines great and everything, but I really wish there was more continuity than starting a storyline and then leaving it for another storyline and then going back to it like two weeks later.

Two words...
Brian Kirkwood
Was Bryan Kirkwood around when Stacey Slater was diagnosed with Bipolar in EastEnders?
Because THAT was a realistic portryal of Bipolar.

It was better but still pretty overrated imo.
And we're back to the rape story, only taken them six months.

Yeah, but unfortunately they still have JP not speaking up about Finn raping him. Another irresponsible portrayal of a serious issue. I feel like this is all going to lead to a bunch of victim blaming when the truth finally comes out.

Unfortunately, it's a noticeable symptom of can't-act-itis. It's known to be horrific and incurable.

Oh, I thought he knew, especially as he's going to punish Finn for it.

At the rate this storyline is going. JP will admit it was Finn on New Year 2016?!?!?
