By saying Winston wouldn't get the hate if he "wasn't socially attractive" means that you are also essentially saying that his "haters" are jealous. You don't have to say the word for it to be taken that way.

It's not about him being attractive.

I have noticed certain instances where Wimston has been hypocritical or downright nasty and that is the reason I dont particularly like. Plus the fact that there is nothing much about him. He is just bleh.

Chris on the other hand has perhaps the best monolouges in the DR ever. He just hits the nail on tbe head everytime.

Not everyone is confrontational and says what they think about people up front and thank god or else the.world would be full of assholes.

Winston looks like the lovechild of Johnny Bravo and Bingo from The Banana Splits. He thought by forgetting that he's Kent born and bred and pretending he's an 'Essex boy' because he's lived there for about a fortnight, and putting on the act of being Joey Essex's slightly more articulate brother, he could coast under the radar to the final.

Chris has received a lot of criticism on this forum in recent days.

I think Winston has had a far easier time than Chris TBH.

Even Winston's exit interview was tame.

They didn't even mention the worst thing he did in there, which was cut his mate, Marlon dead for a relatively trivial matter, because he thought it would make him look better, in light of the tweets he heard from BB.

I am of the opposite opinion. If Chris looked like Winston, the poor bloke wouldn't have been getting half the hate he gets on here and elsewhere. Personally, I did find Winston boring, all he ever seem to do is laugh at others along with Helen and Ash and say "yeh 'ats roight" and "d'ya know what a mean" and "it's like, like....", boring ....

Winston has actually been treated quite tamely in comparison to Chris.

The OP has a habit of insisting that any good looking HM who gets evicted has been discriminated against because of their looks, in the teeth of blinding evidence to the contrary, ie there are plenty of good looking winners as well as losers.

Its just bait and best ignored IMO.

By far the most attractive option is Chris.

Aaron and Alex (BB2) were both conventionally attractive guys who were liked on here and there have been plenty of not-so-good-looking blokes who have been disliked, so I don't think that the OP's hypothesis holds up. It's more down to personality/alliances than looks imo.

I think the better question would be: If Winston had Chris's voice, would he be this disliked?

I feel there is much more prejudice against him because of his accent and speech pattern - we dwouldn't even have to change anything he says, and suddenly he would be popular.

But it is clear to see that in many posts slagging off Winston, the word 'gormless' is frequently used and his looks are widely criticised - just look at this thread.

Winston is conventionally good-looking and people do not like this head start, although it was not a subject which was perpetually brought up in Aaron's case, where his accent was acceptable and his looks a bonus.
