So is Carol still in hospital then ? Or will we next see her serving in the Cafe ? And Patrick not even so such a mention from Dot this week about Patrick. Then When Bianca was at the baby shower in Thursdays episode not a mention about carol and Bianca seemed happy as larry nothing's making sense on EastEnders anymore it's annoying.

Yet your idea to kill off Lily Branning makes perfect sense.

Not.

On Mondays episode Charlie said to bianca did your mum get to Sonia's alright?, so I'm guessing she is at Sonia's for a bit

It's hardly story blocking. Do we need to see every tiny movement to understand? No, that would be spoon feeding the audience. She's had her mastectomy and now she's recovering.

In regards to Carol and Partick, the actors are taking a filming break. They will be back soon and their story will continue.

.

It really is quite alarming how morbid some can get on here.

It would be pretty boring if they dedicated episode after episode to Patrick and Carol recovering.

You can't just focus on certain people all the time
It is done to move various plots on as other's mentioned Carol and Patrick was the focus and have been mentioned but this weeks focus is on the Slaters and the ongoing Ian and his fling with a street worker that Is Rainie Cross
No doubt the show will go back to Carol and Patrick soon

It sounds like you just need to pay a bit more attention.

That's the problem these days though, unless it's in big capital letters with neon lights around it some people miss the point and then claim nothing makes sense.

yes she said in the scenes before going to the hospital that she would be going to sonias after. she said to rebecca about her singing for her.

makes sense that she goes and recovers in a quieter household and somewhere she is not tempted to do so much

its not really storyblocking because the stories will continue and carry onat some point

That hospital must be overcrowded with people from Walford at the moment (or who have just left), Kat, Jean, Patrick, Carol......and they always seem to get their own room

This isn't block story telling.

Switch into Hollyoaks and you'll see some block story telling.

Patrick was mentioned by Denise, Stan and Cora. It was established last week that Carol's operation had been a success but she would remain in Hospital for a few days to recuperate before going home so there was no reason for Bianca to be looking worried - her life is actually better than it's been for some months - Carol well on the road to recovery and her debt cleared.

EE has always concentrated on certain characters in certain episodes with the other storylines going on the backburner - it hasn't changed really. It is no where near as bad as Hollyoaks which really is block story telling with characters and plots disappearing with no reference for weeks on end.

Do you understand what block story telling is?

Do you understand what block story telling is?
Is it where a storyteller sits on a block and tells stories?
Is it a story about blocks?

Denise mentions she visits Patrick quite often.
It was made clear that Carol has gone to stay with Sonia for a bit, Charlie even asked after Carol last week.

Pay more attention xD

What about dot thought she hasn't even mentioned him like wth never seen dot as upbeat as she was In Last weeks episodes felt very odd very odd order even Fridays episode the way it ended felt more like a Monday episode cliff hanger. Will Mondays continue on from from Friday ? . Have we ever had a Friday episode of EastEnders that ended set during the day most before ? What did others think of Fridays duff duff ? Is it just me that found the end to Fridays all abit awkward?

What is dot supposed to act like? With all the people she has lost during her life she'd just be sitting in a corner back and forth if she dwelt on it too long and Patrick is supposed to be doing reasonably okay - he isn't critical. Yes he is very ill but there isn't much Dot can do about it. I imagine that we will see her visit him once he is back home and perhaps talk about Jim then.

A lot of the duff duffs have been a little underwhelming recently but that doesn't really bother me - I get fed up of them manufacturing cliffhangers from nowhere that don't get any direct resolution the following episode. I'm sure that we have had Friday episodes end in the middle of the day before though I couldn't give a direct example.

Hollyoaks does it as well, what happen to Patrick? Did he get out of hospital?
Did Maxine get to her sisters safety? Is Dodger still in custody?

Hollyoaks do it to an absurd degree - to the extent that you can just not watch a whole weeks worth of episodes if you know the characters you are interested in aren't schedule to appear. You know there will be no reference to them at all - even if they were left with the storyline completely up in the air - like Patrick, Dodger and Maxine as you've mentioned.

Our new year old NHS hospital has nothing but private rooms. Every patient has their own en suite room.
