That is - the seating arrangement of the housemates when called to the living room.

There is a large mirror on the wall across from the couch that Helen, Ash and Winston consistently sit on. All three sit on that couch and watch themselves in the mirror.
Throughout the series, that has been the couch for the "cool" kids; the power couch. When Jale gained favour, she moved to that couch and now Pav has taken up a spot.
To my recollection, I don't think Chris or Ashleigh have ever sat on that couch.
The split is just so obvious.
