Bert and Ernie have been rumoured as the twins names for a while now!

Did they give them different names then because i've not watched yet?

No its never been confirmed. They've kept the names in upcoming spoilers well back which makes me think the names arnt Bert and Ernie after all.Maybe we will get something at midnight?

Alfie names one David after his fave singer David Essex and Kat names the other one Derek Jr.

They've been referred to as Bert and Ernie from literally the moment that Alfie and Kat discovered they were expecting twins, that's where the rumours came from... the show itself started them. Some people repeated the names and then people who hadn't picked up on it in the show itself started to think they were going to be the actual names.

I can see Kat warming to Albert and Ernest, but it doesn't really go with Tommy. I think we'll have something completely different.

I was sure that I even read in a soap mag that their names were Bert & Earnie after Seseme St characters

I had heard the romour, but it would be child abuse to name them that.

I don't think there is any way that the authorities would class this as child abuse.

It seemed quite clear to me that Kat have just been referring to them as Burt and Ernie whilst she was pregnant (many people do give joke names to their unborn children - a friend of mine's whose surname is Cooper referred to hers as 'Mini') without intending to actually call them that once they were born.

I've said it all along... Pick two names from Kat's many assorted conquests/victims.
