Four of the worst interviews ever?
Blahblahblah...
09-08-2014
I think tonight we learnt what terrible winners Mark and Winston would have made. Emma and Rylan kept putting words in their mouths as they were unable come up with any replies / observations / answers

Also I don't think Emma had even practiced a Winston interview she had no idea what to say - possibly the most boring interview in BB history.

and where were that hard hitting questions. Was Winston even asked anything vaguely challenging?

at least they are both out the interviews next week will be ten times better!

The good interviews next week will be Ashleigh, Chris, Christopher and Helen's but we'll most likely to have to sit through awful Ash and Pav ones first.

I thought her interview with Mark was the best this series, as if she'd been reading the criticism of her lack of hard-hitting style; Winston - I think it took her 10 seconds to realise she'd get nothing from him, he wouldn't even understand a deep question and wasn't really capable of formulating an interesting answer, so what would be the point in trying!

I am looking forward to Chris, Christopher and Ashleigh's interviews, and Helen's actually - but as they will be on the final night and they don't really allow them much time for a proper interview - on BBUK or BOTS - none of the interviews will be very in-depth unfortunately.

Winston's interview was the worst of the series thus far. It's not really Emma's fault though; there's only so much she could do with a housemate like Winston..

She didn't need to compliment him quite so much though, he didn't deserve it.

Exactly. Rylan got it right on BOTS, asked him a bunch of questions to which the answer was the same - Yes

I thought when she asked Mark why he got so mad at Chris when he was planning on taking some money for himself was brilliant. He was so stumped out of ways of wiggling himself out of it and obviously thought it was going to swept under the carpet.

I think so too. I think the give away was when she said
"Why do you think you are sitting here?"
and he said (without a hint of irony or sarcasm) "Errrm because I was evicted?"

Emma frantically recalibrates the interview

Yeah she was never going to get anything of interest out of Winston, the truth is he's a simpleton, she even alluded to his simple mindedness when she was saying about Chris and Mark and their different thought processes and how not everything is black and white, she sort of backed off from it though because if she went any further it would have been blatant even to Winston that she was implying that he is a bit thick.

They were excruciating. Not really Emma's fault. You can't get blood out of a stone.

Generally a fan of Emma and Rylan but have to say those interviews were terrible. Also - Zoe singing on Bit on the Side was completely uncalled for. Do they honestly think we evicted her because we wanted to hear more of her singing? Couldn't give a fig if Rylan is star-struck by her, stop trying to force us into accepting she is not highly annoying.

It was brilliant. It knocked him for six and you could tell that's all he could think about for the rest of the interview. I'm so glad he got his comeuppance, the deceitful little goblin.

I agree it seemed like she had read the criticism of her style, especially as she was so
pro Mark earlier in the series... but although I felt a bit sorry for him... he did deserve it.

Winston?... gentleman?... why are you evicted?...
Maybe laughing at other people when they are upset, being a floater, being a fake,
and unfair (and eventually hypocritical) to your "mate" Winston.

Is it really impossible to understand?

Oh, and the online campaign obviously.

That's the only criticism I'd give too. I felt that she gave a few undeserved compliments, particularly when she said he had been the model housemate

I have a feeling that's the full extent of his vocabulary

Agree. Emma especially calling Winston a gentleman, not one but twice and saying what a great housemate he was

I thought Emmas interview with Mark was good, she really got stuck into him about the money Winston I don,t think she had prepared for him being evicted at all, but even if she had she probably wouldn't have got much more of out of him. Zoe on bots was awful I had to mute her I hope she isn't on singing again.

I was impressed with Emma's questioning of the little twerp, he was obviously uncomfortable, it was great to watch. She did let the side down a tad towards the end but on the whole the girl did ok. I thought he was going to cry at one point, that would have been the icing on the cake for me. (I'm not a nasty arse really, honest guvnor)
