Why did BB14 not have a divide?

Divides in the house seem to be common fare in modern Big Brother, and yet there was no divide whatsoever last year.

There were clear friendships and clear enemies in Big Brother 2013, but definitely not enough to create a clear divide. Why was this?

Was it because the housemates were all so diverse and had such varying age ranges? And many of them (Jackie, Charlie, Sam, Gina, Dexter, Jack & Joe, Sophie etc.) blurred the lines between traditional definitions of the 'cool kids' and the 'losers'?

I loved BB14.

I don't agree that there was no divide whatsoever last year.

Well what was the divide. Hazel and Gina hated each other. Callum was a big house talking point. Hazel/Dan, Dexter/Gina, Callum/Sam, Twins/Sophie formed strong alliances. But there were definitely no groups.

I remember a slight divide with Dexter and the people who didn't like him. It wasn't as prominent as this years divide though.

For a couple weeks in the middle it felt like Dexter and Gina were on their own but you're right, they still spoke to others it wasn't as clear as other years.

There was a massive divide, it just wasn't a planned one.

It's so much better without a divide.

It also had one of the best arguments ever - Jemima vs Dan on did her daughter die or not
