I keep seeing threads pop up on here suggesting returns for EE but most of them are for characters who were either pretty bland and unimportant or have few if any ties left or reasons to return.

To my mind one of the most obvious and best characters who could return right now is Dan Sullivan. Phil is still there, Carol and Bianca are there. Imagine the hornets nest he could stir up with these characters

Dan was a really very good character and a return would be welcome and could be a lot of fun.

No he shouldn't. Bianca is leaving and Carol had too much dignity to start a relationship with him again.

That leaves Phil, Dan won't return yo see him. There is no place got him these days.

I think the show would benefit from having an older bitch, Chrissie has been inside and so I imagine she's become a lot harder. She won't pop in for a cuppa, but they could bring her in through other ways. What if Jay bumps into old friend Marissa, she is working in a brothel and Jay and Billy go round and Billy is surprised to find Chrissie is running the place. Chrissie then offers Billy a job as her muscle and the protector of the girls......

Dan Sullivan was great! I think there's good reason to bring him back because of Sharon's revenge plan. Maybe him and Mel Owen could now be a couple, she was my favourite character back when I first started watching EE, but there's never been a reason to bring her back.

Bringing Lisa back as part of Sharon's revenge plan could be interesting as well... e.g. Lisa agrees to let him see Louise, only for her to then run off again. Though realistically I don't think Lisa would let him near Louise again, and also I noticed that in Lisa's return in 2010 Lisa and Phil didn't share any scenes. I know the actors who played Lisa and Phil were once together, so I'm guessing they don't get along now

Yea he could have got away someone could have stepped in. How I'd first reintroduce Jake I wouldn't make to much a big deal of it. His first scene would be this Christmas Alfie gets a phone call it cuts to Jake wishing Alfie a Happy Christmas Doof Doof you can imagine the rest.

Same here, it wouldn't take too much explaining about where he has been since his exit as we never saw him die or anything.

Dan was a good character but there isn't any reason for him to return. The only way it could work is if Carol, Bianca or Phil randomly bumped into him somewhere by chance because there's no reason he would return to the square. And if any of them were to see him what would they do? None of them would welcome him with open arms and invite him back to their house. A good character but someone who belongs in the past I think.

He actually blows DDs head off in one of those films
Dan was a great character. Maybe he can be Shirley's long lost son.

She could use him as serious muscle if the dwarf potato ever threatens her - even TPTP would not have the preposterous sight of Philth threatening Dan's knees again.

This is pretty much what i think about Chrissie Watts (cept overrated rather than great springs to mind for her) but people on here rave about her and bringing her back. Bringing her back would work even less than Dan

I liked Dan Sullivan but can't see a reason to bring him back. I hated Chrissie Watts...she always seemed out of place both in the square and as Dens wife. I'd definitely switch off again if Chrissie came back.

Dan has connections with Phil and Carol. Chrissie is linked to the Mitchell's, Rickmans, Slaters and Moons so much more scope for storyline potential.
