EastEnders - The Vic set still looks awful

Has it been given another make over? I noticed last night that the seats suddenly looked like really tatty leather, like something from the 1940s, and the wallpaper was yellow!

was this always the case or just a new angle? The Vic has looked a mess since the fire. Peggy had it looking the best in 2008.

Agree but at least the lime green bar is gone and the outside is back to its best colours.

The bar desperately needs bringing forward in time though. Whoever came up with the new design after the fire must have been working on a budget. None of the colours match and don't get me started on that awful cold blue living room with the parrots on the wall. Its too much clash for a small space. Anyone living there would have constant headaches

When the new set is built in four year they might blow the Vic up again just to explain any continuity problems with the size being bigger. So maybe they will modern it up then.

Nothing will ever top Shirley and Phil's jungle wallpaper in terms of horribleness. No wonder Ben became a murderer!

I agree Peggy Did have it looking the best. Peggy Must be the only person to have taste. because ever since it looked horrible. The outside looks good now especially the tiles underneath the window. Don't like those seats either. That's all I like now everything looks disgusting. I miss Peggy style of living room because it looked realistic and homily

I think Babs Windsor may have acted as a consultant so was able to give her imput on what was Peggy's taste.

Who ever they use now shouldn't be working as a designer!! I totally forgot about Phil and Shirley's jungle.

Also get rid of that yellow wallpaper have all the wall paper inside back to red don't know why they couldn't have left the vic alone,Peggy only had it done up a few years before. I also liked when they had the sofa and table they introduced. Before the vic went up in smoke in 2010 the way Peggy had it really was the Vics best look.

They should bring back the sofa and Piano,

I wish Sharon would sing again during Christmas season with people gathered around her singing aswell!

Is the yellow wallpaper new? first time I noticed it was last night. I got a bigger TV yesterday so maybe I never paid enough attention before.

Its the seating thats the worst. Where did they get them from out the back of a skip?

I think the interior is much better now than it was it the Moon reign with the green bar. And the exterior looks very regal at the moment.

The only thing that has changed from the Moon era to the Carter era is the lime green bar and the curtains. The wallpaper and seating is the same. Although I think the walls on the set are painted so not tactically wallpaper.

Although this clip is about Peggy and Aunt Sal arguing, the Vic looks homely and stylish.

I never forget Alfie and Kat having toilet rolls in the living room and they had a beach wallpaper.

I said in a thread on here last week. It looks lovely there. Now it looks like an entirely different place. You wouldn't think its the same room. I wonder if Barbara did get to give her opinions on any new look because I'm sure I remember Wendy Richard saying she was allowed to pick out Pauline's new wallpaper when they gave her house a facelift in 2000.

Yes I would love it if they went back to that rather than the random parrots on the wall.
