First of all ash , it's two separate countries , not just an island , people living in the republic can't vote , and In fact barely anyone in the republic even receives channel 5 because it's not offered on most packages , so keep your xenophobic bullshit to yourself

I love when HMs look for excuses when things don't go their way. The funny thing is the population of Greater Manchester is actually larger than that of Northern Ireland, so if it was just regional voting, he'd actually be more popular than Ashleigh and Christopher.

seeing as Ireland and island sound remarkably similar, I think he probably said Ireland and the person who subtitled the video on the BB site is just an illiterate idiot

But literally about 5,000 Irish people even watch , it's not a channel that's available for most people.

Well Ash, I'm from not far from you - one of my kids lives in Manc, too but I have wanted one of the two Irish contestants to win, all along. And wanted Ash out from Week One. Stupid man. It's nothing to do with where anyone is from - but who they are. Although have to say him and Helen have done Lancashire no favours. Hopefully the token Northern HMs will be Yorkshire or Geordies, next time.

Don't they have satellite receivers in Ireland?

Anyhow, the Irish vote hasn't helped many HMs in past series.

Yeah but channel 5 is never offered as one of the channels , or only for a small minority , I lived there and I never knew anyone that ha channel 5 , even if they had 100+ channels , hazel last year would have been much more likely to benefit seeing as she was from the much larger part of Ireland and everything , but it didn't do her much good

Ash has got all of Helen's salon behind him, plus his mum and dad and grandparents, though outside that locality everyone in Manchester will plump for the Irish as well

Going by that "logic" anyone in Greater Manchester will want Ash to win, and considering there's more of them we should be seeing Ash finish higher than Ashleigh and Christopher. Let's see if that happens, shall we?

It's unscrambled, people can watch 5 for free all over Western Europe down to the Med.

True, but anyone who is interested enough can add channel 5 to the sky package the codes are online- we did it- couldn't come round how to vote though

don't write off Pav, he has the whole of the South East behind him, that's massive voting power, now Winston has gone, Pav is controlling about ten million votes

Yawn so what if he said it its what is said on other shows, xfactor being the main culprit. How many tines you see an irish singer make it through and the judges always say you have the whole of ireland backing you. It is said so much that any irish contestant gets that line. Same goes scottish and welsh.

Actually anyone who has a skybox in southern Ireland has channel 5. The only difference is that it has to be tuned in on the "Other channels list".

In Ash's peas sized brain the only reason that Christopher and Ashleigh are there is obviously an international conspiracy.

It would never cross said pea sized brain that the discerning viewers like Christopher and Ashleigh the best and don't like him and his cronies despite the obvious fact that Steven Kimberley Mark Marlon and Winston have gone.

Well there he is, seedy, unkempt and delusional with only a foul-mouthed harridan to comfort him. Serves him right.
