So sad it has been a year since the Corrie Legend Mandy departed in the back of the Street Cars cab, still haven't gotten over her. She was a great barmaid in the Rovers Return and was a happy and joyful character, but was criminally underused. Now next week her

And who can forget her pet turtle Flash, and fooled Lloyd into thinking he may of killed him? Ah, great times.

Andrea has nothing on her.

I haven't missed her. But I do quite like Jenna, she was such a wasted character.

An absolutely woeful character. Giving Lloyd a family seemed like a good idea on paper but it was the casting that let them down. Both Mandy and Jenna we're played by appalling actresses neither of whom had any chemistry with Lloyd, the one playing his daughter was far too old as well. And then the writing for them was no better both void of any kind of personality and given nothing to do. In fact the only love interest that Lloyd has ever had any chemistry with was Teresa, remember her? She was Sinbad from brookies ex-wife. They even had a storyline where, because they had had a fling years before she lied to Lloyd that he was her young sons father. They should have made it so he was the kids dad it would have been better than the Mandy/Jenna storyline and given Lloyd a family.

Agreed, feel like a minority here. Getting her involved with Sophie was stupid.

I couldn't even remember who she was until I saw the name jenna and Lloyd, then I realised. I really didn't like her character, don't like Jenna either. Pretty pointless characters.

She wasn't my favorite but I'm glad she was reunited with her turtle. I can't remember how she exited actually.

Jenna just gets on my nerves. I think however part of it is due to bad writing for their characters.

I have lit a candle and placed it in the window.

Since doing so, I have noticed 100's of passers by, stopping and tipping their head slightly as a mark of respect.

I can only assume that the actress who played the part of Mandy left to take on a major role in a Hollywood blockbuster to be released soon.

I have found it hard to contain my tears today and I am not too proud to admit that I have telephoned the Samaritans three times today to lessen my feelings of immense grief!
I couldn't believe it when they said "who?"

I am off to bed now with a box of Kleenex and a copy of the TV times from one year ago.

This is just too much to cope with.......................

I actually really enjoyed the tortoise storyline - it was a little, light hearted storyline that didn't really add anything but was told well with some good comic writing. Not everything has to be plot driven. I miss Mandy.

And to think Jenna seems completely unconcerned about the welfare of Flash.

My first reaction: WHO? But, yeah the bit Lloyd shagged all them years ago and got Jenna. TBH I haven't really missed her, with all the dreadful Andrea stuff going on. Jenna is a wasted character and the death-nail was staked in for this character when her mum was axed. Wish they'd axe Lloyd as well, he really has passed his sell by now....

Jenna appears so agitated, awkward and defensive and it makes it hard for me to watch her. I thought that she'd become more appealing after splitting with Sophie, but then again, they've done nothing with her since

I haven't been so upset about someone leaving Corrie since Lesley's accident with the toaster!

I am surprised that Flash didn't get an award for acting!
His acting skills were and still are unmatched by any current or previous actor / actress.

The way he ate a lettuce leaf used to bring tears to my eyes. He didn't need words, his body language said it all.

I am sure that Flash could play the lead part in a remake of Ben Hur!

Can't believe it's only been a year, feels much longer, although I guess every episode of Corrie feels like a years worth of episodes without Mandy Definitely the most iconic and memorable Corrie character ever, to many people (me included) she WAS Coronation Street and the soap will never be as good without her. I wish she didn't have to go but it's understandable, it was kind of obvious that with an actress as talented and famous as Pamela Nomvete was never going to stay forever, as evident by the fact that Pamela is now and internationally recognised and renowned actress, famous for many high profile Hollywood films.
