So it has been announced on 29th July 2014 that Nick Cotton (played by John Altman) is to return back to the square to give his old ma some more trouble. With the recent events involving Charlie and Carol, surely he is bound to turn up soon? Maybe he will be kept back to the Christmas Day episode as it is not yet stated when he has started filming for Eastenders. It will be interesting how the writers develop the opening of his sixth stint on the show, I wonder will he turn up at Dot's door again and say 'ello ma' or will we see him sitting in a car with Yvonne and Charlie planning some scheme?
Hopefully this stint will succeed his last stint as I personally thought the 'chair leg' cafe hostage ruined the end of his 'Poison Dot' storyline, it was rushed and played out badly but there was highlights like when he clashed with Phil for blackmailing Billy, see link for that clip here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NtkHRWSueWs
So what does everyone think? When will the original bad boy of the square return?
