After 8 months of change and great stuff, EastEnders is heading in the right direction, dtc is taking the show to new strengths, although this summer has been quite messy, he worked long and hard up until about June, there haven't been many great weeks since then, however some have been fantastic, and I feel now were heading into the autumn, things are going to spice up a lot, and be better than what they have been this summer (obviously), I've loved this week, and it seems like it's going to get very good again as from now...

So what do people thing the main storylines are going to be as we head into the Autumn/Christmas/winter/30th anniversary period? And when in this period do you think they're going to take place? It seems the shirley/mick reveal, and the who killed Lucy Beale storyline will be taking place, but surely there's A LOT more, what does everyone think? I for one am very excited!

I'm hoping for a big reveal about Ian's whereabouts on the night Lucy died...this should happen in the Vic in the most humiliating way possible.

Yvonne will be back and we will find out more about her and Charlie in the run up to Nick's return.

Sylvie will arrive and the secret of Shirley being Mick's mum will come out.

These are my top three, although I'm interested to find out what's in store for Stacey, Ronnie, the Masoods and Kat/Alfie.

Desperately hoping for something major for Nancy.

I think the Shirley/Mick reveal will take centre stage on Xmas Day but I'm hoping the Carters take a backseat on the anniversary.

The Who Killed Lucy? reveal will be the main focus Anniversary week with a possible flashback episode. It's right that the Beales will be at the centre as the show celebrates 30 years. A Nick death would be fitting. He's returning for a reason and I can't help but feel this will be the final chapter for Walford's original villian. The Cottons will live on through Charlie and Ronnie. (Baby)

A Mick/Linda wedding is possible. I'd like Stacey to acknowledge Bradley's death. Maybe a Sharon/Stacey scene as Stacey was also involved in the Den murder aftermath. A happy one for Kalfie and Carol who've had their bucket fill of tragedy.

I'd like some Mitchells to return to mark 25 years of the Mitchells. A Sharon/Phil wedding would've been perfect but alas it's happening four and a half months too soon. It'd be nice if Sharon's revenge did culminate then.

It would be wrong on so many levels to make the Carters a main part of the 30th. They haven't been on the show long enough to warrant the honour besides that it seems they are taking centre stage at Christmas.

I think Christmas will be the Carters and the 30th will focus on the Beales/Cottons.

I think the 30th anniversary will include the Carters but I think Dot, Ian and Sharon will have a big role in the 30th. They're legendary characters and they should rightfully be involved in the 30th anniversary in February. Although it will focus a lot on Lucy's killer reveal.

I think we will hit certain peaks with certain stories as the weeks roll on.

September will be all about the Slaters, Mitchells and the Jacksons.
December will be all about the Carters and the Beales.
February will be all about the Beales.

I'm not entirely convinced that Sharon's story will end at the wedding though.

Hopefully the Masoods slot into place there somewhere, maybe October and November will be their time to step up to the plate.

I think just before the 30th anniversary the Masoods should come back into the picture with a possible return for Zainab whether it be permanent or even just a guest stint, she's certainly the missing piece from the Masood puzzle.

I don't think they will be, although I'd like a Mick/Linda wedding around that time just for contrast to all the drama.

The 30th itself I'd like the murder reveal, Nick's death, Zainab or Janine return and Sharon's exit with her pots of money. Is Ronnie's baby due about that time too ?

Thought you said Sharon is leaving until you said you want her to leave ha. Almost had a mini heart attack. I would love for Janine to come back but I don't think she will be back until a few years later.

I hope they would do in a way, when the other live episode happened, I was a lot younger and couldn't really get into it, I'd heard it was happening and came into it halfway through.

However, it would be exactly the same really. Build up to reveal who committed the murder.

Plus, they're filming 12 different outcomes so the actors don't even know who killed her. There won't be a live episode.

I doubt it. They already know who it is, but I doubt they'll film any more than 3 or 4 variations, if that. Maybe they just do the odd scene like the Tina McIntyre alternative scenes and the Tom King ones.

I can't believe the soaps still use that line thinking people buy it. The only way that works is if the action happening is not mentioned for several weeks, otherwise you'd need 12 different scenes for each time the action was mentioned - in this case, who killed Lucy.

As they will want to keep it a secret until transmission, I'm going to guess it will be an episode with only a handful of characters in it.

The reveal of Shabnam Masood's secret too (unless that's what everyone means when mentioning the Masoods).

That gimmick has been done to death now, I want them to do something a little different.

I hope the murderer confesses and then the next episode is a flashback so we can see what happened on Good Friday through Lucy's eyes.
