Dreading Aarons return to Emmerdale...
Dreading having Mr. Weepy eyes back. The whole Jackson bullcrap was a reason i turned off the soap then started watching again during the Cameron storyline and i recently switched off again and this news wont have me reaching for the remote.

Obviously he's going to come back with a bang, right into the heart of a massive sl, but I'm just hoping once that's all over with, he kinds of fades into the background again, (at least until some random gay turns up in t'village that they can pair him up with).

I thought his coming out storyline was good, but the main problem with Aaron is he's just so unlikeable. I get that he's supposed to be a troubled young man, but was there ever a scene where he did anything nice or was nice to anyone?

Same. I hate being negative, because I love Emmerdale right now, but Aaron was a loathsome bore, and the Jackson storyline was crap. I know they're trying to grab people's attention, and viewers, by having a high profile return, but I wish they weren't.
I'm really trying to keep an open mind here, but I watched the preview clip of him coming back and all I could think was, Oh Christ, he's the same hateful little bore as before. Ross is a much, much better character, and I don't need two bad boys. |

I'm not a fan either but I can tolerate him as long as they tone down the waterworks and don't have the entire show revolving around him again.

In the interview Danny did he said that Aaron had matured a lot, and had a slightly warmer personality, but still had that temper to him. Although I'm not a major fan of personality transplants to suit storylines. I hope we do see more of the mature Aaron who only gets violent if he needs to, instead of the mouthy Chav that would struggle to find a reason NOT to hit someone.

Danny Miller says that Aaron has matured. So he should be, after all that assisted suicide shit. It would all have been a complete waste of time if he hadn't matured. At least he's only back to November in his next stint, but dreading when he's full time in January. What is there left to do with him.

I'm not dreading his return but I'm also not excited for it either.
I liked the character when I started watching in 2010 and then we had the whole Jackson storyline which was... I found it very hard to switch off because I thought the performances were good but it was VERY depressing. If his story continues in the same way then I can safely say that it will get tiresome and I won't enjoy it. Hopefully it turns into something a bit different. If the character has really matured while he has been away then we could get some good storylines with him. I just hope it doesn't become the Aaron, Chas and Debbie show again. Though based on the things coming up in the new year it doesn't look good. |

There was an interview in a magazine in the tearoom at work. Don't know how old it is, magazines tend to hang round on the table for weeks, I tend to look out for anything Emmerdale and saw his face. It says something about him filming for 3 months and then goes and comes back. This is the same with other characters comebacks, you get the teaser, then the whole hog. Thinking it's something to so with the France thing and helping Adam, first, then he moves back full time I guess?

The actor was dire in Scott & Bailley, and I never liked Aaron in the first place. The angry young man role is currently taken up by Adam, so what's he point of his return?

Oh right, never saw that mentioned in the other interview he did.... or it could be Sunny's suggestion of the police catching up with him and getting a bit of jail time whether it be for the fire or skipping bail.....
I like Aaron, but have to question what else is there for him to do? Once the fire/bail/France storyline is finished, what next? I do hope a more friendlier relationship with his mother; yes she did treat in bad in his young days, but times moved on. |

I've no issue with the actor, but Aaron is one of the worst characters in recent ED history.

Could be...it didn't elaborate anything worthwhile and spoke a lot about when he appeared in ' Scott and Bailey', but he was sitting on a haystack with a field in the background and his hair was parted and wavy.
