Hi there, my father in-law is having trouble with his Foxsat, he is always having trouble with it! however this time you can bring up the guide and it then freezes, I switched it off via the rocker switch at the back then re-boot, the guide came up ok again then I tried to move it to BBC1 but got as far as BBC2 then it froze again, the machine is about 4-5 yrs old and I have read a about the dodgy capacitators but not sure if this is causing the problem, I'm sure someone here can help, honestly every time I visit he has an issue with all his tech and most times I can fix it but I stuck now.

Thanks in advance

The capacitor issue is not known on the model you mention.
With such issues the first action is to try a factory reset.
I would check the signal quality level from the dish, on the channels he usually watches, as borderline signals do seem to increase problems.

Sorry should have added, he only has a single feed which has caused problems, have tried to get him to upgrade it, it's what he got for the digital change over.
