As my router (BT Home Hub 5) does not allow me to change DNS address I am wondering how to change region of netflix on a Chromecast? (I have not bought Chromecast yet)

If I change the DNS on my tablet, and using unotelly select a different region for netflix, will the changed region then play using the cast?

The Chromecast is hard-wired to use Google's own DNS servers so you cannot change DNS settings on it. Changing DNS settings on your tablet won't help as the Chromecast streams directly from the internet, not via your tablet.

It is possible to change settings on many routers to force the Chromecast to not use Google's DNS servers but, as you can't even change DNS settings on the Homehub, I would think it unlikely that you could do this too.
