Don't know about the registering thing. Mine's not registered and I've been in the preview since day one. Maybe they've changed it and now you have some kind if lottery to determine the next batch if lucky punters.

Has anyone had problems with BBC iPlayer since installing the February preview?

It will load for me, but every time I then try and play a video (any video) it crashes to the dash.

... It's a known issue

I've found a couple of threads about it in the preview forums (one in the apps sub-forum, one in the feedback sub-forum), and both have had staff reply acknowledging it.

There is a second Feb build rolling out tonight (2am GMT), and the iPlayer issue is now actually listed as a known issue.


So... If the Xbox One is your only way of using iPlayer, you may want to avoid the Feb preview for now!

I never registered my console on that link and I've had the preview program for ages.

Yeah I'm registered. With all the Live issues at the moment though, I'm not too surprised it hasn't come.through.

There was a new preview build released yesterday that fixed the iPlayer problem.

Now just a thought that occurred to me - is any one s preview member on a preowned console? I've just thought that might be why I'm not getting on the programme, even though the console is registered to me.

I've sent my query to Microsoft. I don't want to sound like a desperate wannabe but at least I can tell people not to bother persistently sending invites!
