All that moaning to get in and then..

I just got sick of having ta manually reboot my X1 (on a daily basis) especially when the updates aren't that good to begin with!

So impatient! Lol

So, thought I'd let you all know...

I'M FINALLY ON THE FREAKING PREVIEW PROGRAMME!!

I'm in the middle of a game of Fifa and just about to win 2-1 and hold my division until next season when the screen flips to the update screen and I can't go back online until I've updated. Unbelievable. Automatic loss and relegation. Can't believe that Microsoft couldn't ensure that these updates happen when the console is idle.

👍☺️ so am I! (cancelled my cancelation lol) The latest update fixed my console not waking up & it's working better then ever! sent reports via Twitter, xbox support & X1 PP app it was fixed the next day lol 👏

I wanna try that X1 streaming to my laptop thingy! ☺️

I cant believe it - I created this thread in August! I have no idea why it suddenly decided to let me on, but thank you for everyone for persevering with the invite requests!

I also keep getting an error it looks like most people are.

I got a message inviting me to the Alpha version of Smite, I have never hear of this but I will give it a quick go.

New preview build up - and I'm actually part of it this time!!

Sigh by the time I might get on the preview it will be all over and the next gen will be coming out lol!!!

Unusually not all of the April new features have been announced or released to preview there will more news next week.

The 2nd part of the preview is now live. There is a new section on the dashboard for tv, called whats on. I would rather have a 2nd pins section for Apps, not enough room for my games without making room for apps as well. Think I may need to go to the xbox preview forum and request that


Voice messages – Xbox One preview program members will be able to compose and playback voice messages in the messages app when snapped on Xbox One. Quickly and easily record audio to send to your friends or others through your snapped messages app accessed through a simple quick double tap of the Xbox button. Additionally, voice messages can be exchanged between Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

Dedicated servers for party chat – We’re enhancing party chat with dedicated chat relay servers that will enable Xbox One owners that may have historically had NAT issues to party chat more reliably. Parties where players are unable to form direct peer-to-peer connections for party chat will automatically leverage dedicated server infrastructure to relay traffic. This service is only enabled for parties where one or more members are previewing the April system update.

What’s On – The Xbox engineering team is continuing to experiment with the What’s On area, which highlights popular videos, movies, TV shows and game broadcasts. We’re continuing to test different experiences for preview members in the U.S. and this month, the preview of this feature is being expanded to Canada and the UK as well.

Just updated my console and I'm presented with a whole new tab called What's on! lol

Just has tv listings and 'staff picks', future plans for this? Doesn't look to interesting as is....

Its a bit of a waste, better if they used a 2nd tab for pins, for games or media apps. Too many games, not enough pin slots for me.

That's how I would like it set up. Maybe even 4 rows of 8 in the pins section would do.

I do think MS are just tweaking the UI at the moment, but I suspect a significant change will occur on the X1 when the DX12/Windows 10 operating system launches.
