I am such a dick, got excited by the game preview service that was out now for dashboard preview members, wanted Elite Dangerous, powered up the Xbox One, saw there was an update for the dashboard, it stalled on installation, tried it a couple of times, thought I'd delete the update, turns out I've deleted the pigging dashboard preview full stop. SO ANNOYING. Can't find the code I was sent, can't access the forum it's coming back with a Group Not Found The requested Group cannot be found error. Posted in the main forum, but still, I'm all out of ideas.

You should get a message from Xbox Live and a prompt to download the Preview Dashboard app.

In the My Games & Apps tile, right at the end there used to be a recently installed/deleted section. Maybe you can reload from there.

I may be a bit late to the party, but was wondering if anybody would be able to send me an invite too?

Had a go of elite dangerous earlier. Beautiful game that will take some time to master. Took my nearly all of the trial just to shoot some barrels.

I will give it a try later I hope.

It will be interesting to see how they handle all of the controls as I play on the PC and use the Xbox controller and till need to use the keyboard for certain things.

The controls actually work really well, a little complicated at first, but i think i got used to them quicker than the short time i had with the PC version. If you hold down one of the front buttons (ABXY) it brings up other options to select with the D pad such as map options and landing gear etc.

Also, while I'm here i just want to recommend the other game on early access- the long dark. I already own it on steam so won't be looking to buy it on xbox one, but it really is a great game. You play a guy who is trying to survive in the snowy mountains. You have to do things like find shelter, gather food and water and hunt, all while fending off wild wolves and without freezing to death. The game has some amazing scenery, and, from what i can see, the lay out changes every time you play so it always keeps you on your toes.

So, I got my invite and downloaded the preview dashboard, but my games aren't being recognised. Under preview dashboard --> console registration, the public preview group still shows as pending. Do I have to be enrolled before the games work ?

Q: Why are my Disc based copies of approved games are not working?



A: Currently we are only supporting game disc’s from the North America region. We are working on making all games available via disc. This will be fully supported when the program launches for everyone.

Getting the preview dashboard does not mean you will have the preview software installed on you console you will need to go to the settings menu then System/Console info and see if the installed software starts with this number xb_rel_1507.
