While you can leave the New Xbox One Experience Preview, an act that culminates in a factory reset, doing so actually takes you out of the *entire* Xbox One Preview Programme and reverts your console to the latest *public* release.”
OK, so it seems that the
FAQ is just badly written / misleading, as apparently you
can revert to the standard Preview if you change your mind after entering the NXOE Preview... Despite the FAQ stating that to leave it you have to remove your console from the entire Preview Programme, which will cause your console to “go back to the current general release” and “restore factory defaults on your console” (all of which suggests it reverts to the normal public release and not the normal Preview release).

“@EmInterrupted But how I read the FAQ, it says you return to current *general* release and leave Preview entirely? (2)”

“@MJDodd After you have taken the update, you can choose "existing Xbox One experience" in the Preview app. This will put you back on (1/2)”

“@MJDodd the old update, but leave you in the program. It will require the factory reset though, and will take ~72 hours to process (2/2)”
