Saw the message this morning and opted in before I left for work. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Yeah I had that message too.

Got the message as well and opted in.

One thing to note, it does say on the acceptance page that there will be on average 2 updates a week for this preview, so if you hate regular updates or have a really slow connection you might want to stick to the standard preview program

Everyone should check the known issues list in the Xbox preview dashboard as not all games look to work yet.

I use the NowTV app and Freeview USB digital tuner for most of my TV viewing so hope this win10 update doesn't cause to many problems!

I decided to take the chance and opted into the NXOE update chances are I will not be in the first wave and even if I am I suspect a few of these issues will have been resolved by them before I get the download.

Wow. That's quite a list. There are bugs and then there's fundamentally broken. This seems to be the latter.

'may fail' not will fail, important to note. A lot of that list is spread over many different features of the X1, so your not likely to experience every single one lol.

Broken? Not at all.

Out of that list I can only see 2 items that might cause me an issue and they can be fixed or worked around:

System Update Errors
Automatic Downloads

Major Nelson just tweeted:

“The New Xbox One Experience starts rolling out to select preview members today.”

One thing to point out to anyone who has opted in and is thinking "If I don't like it or it goes wrong, I can just opt back out and do a factory reset as it says in the FAQ.":

While you can leave the New Xbox One Experience Preview, an act that culminates in a factory reset, doing so actually takes you out of the *entire* Xbox One Preview Programme and reverts your console to the latest *public* release.

Its weird, two people have sent invites to me and nothing?

I have had no messages via Xbox Live sadly, jealous of those using it, very much in line with "Windows 10".

Has anyone on here received the update yet? Looks good from the screenshots people have been sharing

I'm guessing unless the first wave report significant problems it will not take them long to roll it out to everyone in preview.

I'm hoping so! Think im fairly far down the pecking order so the quicker the waves come the better for me.

OK, so it seems that the FAQ is just badly written / misleading, as apparently you can revert to the standard Preview if you change your mind after entering the NXOE Preview... Despite the FAQ stating that to leave it you have to remove your console from the entire Preview Programme, which will cause your console to “go back to the current general release” and “restore factory defaults on your console” (all of which suggests it reverts to the normal public release and not the normal Preview release).

You're unlikely to get in, I think.

MS cut back on adding new people a month ago, and others here have already been invited more than once and not got in yet.

Aye. I've had at least 3 invites and got nowhere.
