I'm also on the NXE and find it quite cool, although I seem to have lost access the xbox360 backwards comp games I still had to install. Just vanished from the list for some reason

Had a little play around with this, though you really can't do much at this stage and the interface is a bit ugly. However, it has oodles of potential and is another cool Xbox feature (though I am one of those people that enjoys shouting at my TV in order to change the channel!)

3.4GB update that I'm downloading now never known such a big update before!

My PS4 has seen some use of late, Uncharted collection and new quieter PS4 are major contributing factors lol

EDIT: Quite impressed with the update, it's shaping up now, Community now has some functionality, I get the impression they aren't sure what to do with it lol, waiting for feedback to get the ideas from the user's

Got the update last night after deciding to finally opt in on Wednesday.
Not that keen but like any change I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Checked out the community calendar too.

Does anyone know how to roll the update back to the previous one?

I got the new dash a week or so ago and now the damn thing won't start up. all the lights come on but nothing. Tried hard resets and nothing.

You roll back by using the registration section in the Xbox PreviewDashboard app.

To get the console working you may want to try and fully power down the console unplug the power supply from the console disconnect the kinect camera and any external HDD. Once you have done this try plugging the console back in without any accessories connected and power the console on. Hopefully this will get you back to the dashboard.

If this does not work you should post your issue Xbox preview forums and people there should be able to help.

Yeah, tried all that and still nothing. Will get in touch with them and see what they can do. Thanks

I quite like the new dash... main thing that's annoyed me is the Media Player has borked a little but I can work around that using UMS. Just a niggle, really...

Be interested to find out what they say, can you keep us informed?

Turns out its 5 days out of warranty so they won't touch it!

Anyway all is good. Managed to fix it using the factory reset USB fix.

What did you do? Or shall I just google it? Haven't heard of the USB fix.

Had the new UI fir a week now and I'm quite liking it.
Having the guide similar to the 360 makes getting to the main friends, chat and other functions a lot easier.

Only thing that I find a bit annoying at the moment is how on the Home screen they've dumped all the apps as "My stuff" and you have to scroll down to them. Would have been better keeping my the pins on the left.
Also not sure why they've increased the last 4 things used to long rectangles with the names alongside. Looked much better and less cluttered when they were just grouped under the main active screen.

RT takes you straight to Games & Apps, and LT takes you straight back to the top.

Cheers. That's handy to know.
I still think it looked better with the pins to the left and the 4 squares under the main box.

The guide is definitely an improvement though!

Nov 12 seems to be the launch date for the new dashboard and BC.

I am hoping that us preview users will get more games to try before then. It has been kind of poor so far.

Finally! I've never liked the current XB1 UI.

Each to their own - I personally love the current one

I hope I'm proved wrong and this one ends up better

It's quite similar to the current one but with bits tweaked to make it easier to navigate. The re-introduction of the "guide" makes interacting with your friends a lot easier!

I never had a problem with the old UI, but I LOVE this one!

There was an update yesterday, and another one tonight. Think this one fixes crashes with upload studios and there is a controller update.

Must be for the new controllers only, my pads have no update available.

Anyone else get the 3.5GB update yesterday? Then another controller update but I'm using the Lunar controller.

I'm not sure but my Xbox One wouldn't start up from auto start today so I had to physically switch it on. I assume this might be because it had a big update overnight.
