I own a 2012 MINI Cooper D with Visual Boost (but NOT MINI Connected). I recently managed to source an official BMW Y Media cable and I can now watch videos from my iPod Classic on my car's Visual Boost screen when the car is stationary. However, the main reason I purchased the cable was to allow me to have the cover art displayed on the screen when I am listening to music from the iPod Classic but this is not happening.

I have Googled the subject and looked on MINI specific websites and it seems the problem has affected quite a few people but there has never been a definitive solution as some people with EXACTLY the same set up as me have got it to work.

So, does anyone know if I can test how the artwork is embedded within the tracks? Cover art correctly displays on my iPod Classic, my Apple TV and my MacBook Pro, just not on the MINI. It could obviously be a compatibility problem between the MINI and the iPod Classic but I want to make sure I have tried all other avenues first.

Thanks.

NIce bit of help there Might as well go through the rest of the forum putting the same post.

To op - might be worth putting this post on a MINI specific forum as they are more likely to be able to help

It was more to do with how Apple embed artwork into the MP3s. Is there a different technique I can try on one album for example that might solve the problem? I thought I read somewhere iTunes embeds artwork differently to most programs.
