He must have come in on the agreement that phil or nobody else can take him out because why have we not had the usual rivalry with phil yet?

Also I don't know if anybody has noticed but there have been a small number of scenes where phil has been throwing his weight round prompting mick to step in (hold up phil, let's all calm down) which usually king Philth would turn on that person (you gonna make me AY?, keep your nose out of it)

I can bet my life Danny dyer told producers that he won't take the job if phil is allowed to beat him up... Don't you think it's just unusually strange how polite phil is to mick at times.

Thoughts?

(Btw not a Danny hating thread as I like his character, just something I noticed)

I really hope so but I doubt it.

Philth fleeced Mick over the Vic, treats Shirley like shit and put Johnny in danger (although he does not know that yet).

But hope springs eternal and one day TPTB will realise that Philth is not Don Corleone - but a short, fat, middle-aged man with a heart condition.

I love the love you have for Philth Mr Soze!!!

Give it time and I reckon there'll be conflict. I also think Mick will come out on top!

Well let's hope Mick is wearing just his tight boxers when it happens!!!! 😝

Sorry, a disgraceful comment I know but my mind drifted for a moment!

I'd actually like to see Philth broken in a far more subtle way, although not by bloody panto Sharon!

I dought that very Much and besides This Week Phil accuses Mick and Linda in the pub of watching Lucy appeal for entertainment purposes. I Just think that Phil is only polite to mick because Mick hasn't crossed him because it would be very unrealistic if Phil beats up Mick for no reason.

Oh I disagree with that Safi! Phil's had a plethora of hard men battles and it's boring now, far more interesting if a woman does it and ****s with his head. Sharon is the perfect woman to do it and written properly it could be great.

Regarding the OP I think they've purposely been kept apart as DD is known for his hard man roles and it would really stretch credibility for him to be 'owned' by Phil. (Yes I know it stretched credibility all the other times too!)

I guess you're right but I have a pathological dislike for Sharon as she is just so bloody PANTO!!!! It drives me insane!!!

It is nice to see that DD is far more versatile than he has previously been given credit for and that he is being given the opportunity to show his versatility.😊

It would be more interesting to me if Phil & Mick started a bromance...a kind of "good guy-bad guy" thing where they could take people down together. I'd like to see Mick's dark side and Phil to have a contemporary who's level with him on scheming. When Phil & Max kidnapped Ian (weasel!) was one of the best scenes ever, IMO. I'd like to see that same kind of underworld trust between Mick & Phil. Maybe both could want to see Ian fail (better for the Albert, better for the Queen Vic, a bit of revenge from Mick for Ian's disloyalty, etc).
