At the moment it is very boring and sh*t. People on twitter and facebook is even slating it and calling eastenders is too dead and calling hollyoaks the best soap. I also think the christmas episodes is going to be boring it going to be about the carter which i find too dull. I honestly think the carters are too overrated and i want them to leave.

People only dislike other soaps because of hollyoaks, it's very ott, and teenagers are going to get bored easily if the other soaps don't do that, I think it's quite silly! There's been some brilliant episodes, brilliant scenes, and I think the storylines are going somewhere, this summer has been a bit dull, but the winter/spring was fantastic, so that's what the autumn will probably be more like, be patient though, not every episode is going to be explosive, EastEnders has never been like that! Dtc is the best producer they've had in years! EE are blessed to have him! Social media opinion is always divided, EE hate is starting to calm down now from what I've seen, it was awful about a month ago!

god u must be a year behind then the rest of us because I don't find EE boring this year and there is plenty of things going on. Summer would be quite because there are people going on holidays doing things before the nights start to creep in earlier. But I say things will pick up in the Autumn because we have ben and nick coming back and Phil and Sharon's wedding slater's fire. We also will get a big clue into Lucy murder. Shirley and Mick reveal and so on

All you need is patience if you don't have patience then don't watch.

What was going on last year? Tamwar and Alice and the teenage camping trip?:L we literally had Lauren's alcoholism! This year we've got Lucy Beale, nick not being dead, carols cancer, mick being Shirley's son, the whole ian/mick/rainie thing, sharons revenge, and LOADS coming up soon:P

Hollyoaks is aimed at a younger demographic, you need to be mindful of that.
EE can't go round having all the OTT dramas of Hollyoaks , it'd be too unrealistic. (not that EE is THAT realistic).

If you want the Carters to leave you're in for a disappointment. To be fair- you're not always gonna like the families that dominate EE. I was never that into the Mitchells or Brannings.

EE isn't on fire at the moment, but it's very watchable.. Scene's like Stacey and Jean in hospital are strong.

1. 'Jeez' is not a real word.
2.So you weren't being 'so rude' about DTC's work so far?
3.'Some people' like you can be awfully judgemental towards other people, when on the most part you couldn't do any better.

The above post sounds quite judgemental, there is no point arguing over a difference of opinion. Lots of people have different opinions to me, but deep down I know that I'm right

There may be a lot of ongoing stories, but they are very slow paced and quite boring. I'm not an avid viewer anymore, and when I do catch the odd epsiode things don't seem to have moved on. Having long, ongoing storylines is fine, but there are too many dragging on without any obvious conclusion and it can become tedious.

It's not perfect, but I think it's infinitely better than what we had before. There wasn't a single likeable character that I cared about for most of 2013. Except perhaps Michael. There wasn't a single interesting story, it just all seemed to be filler - the 'tragic' Joey/Lauren/Alcohol story, Kat whoring herself out, Snakegate/Coldcutsgate, the Hartmans.

Look how far it's come now. Likeable, interesting, and diverse characters. Several major plots bubbling over. A solid set of storylines to look forwards to in the Autumn/Winter.

And to top it all off, Lauren is looking hotter than ever

For the umpteenth time, people on Twitter and Facebook are not the be all and all. The people on Facebook especially hate characters such as Ian, Sharon, Phil and Dot yet would happily watch episode with Joey Branning and Tyler Moon in them.

I concur you wouldn't believe the many people on eastenders Facebook pages begging for joey to come simply back because they think he was hot 😏 and some still going on about Denny being a brat even thought he hasn't acted up for over a year.

I admit that some of the current storylines may be 'dragging on' slightly, but IMHO that is far better than crap, unrealistic (And yes, I know that EastEnders isn't the most realistic programme storylines where the conclusion is so obvious, that you can tell what it will be from the beginning.

'The above post sounds quite judgemental, there is no point arguing over a difference of opinion. And yet that is exactlywhat you are doing right now.

Talk about being hypocritical.
