I agree. I love Shirley warts and all. Her one liners are brilliant as well

It is just something I picked up on lately, but why do some people on here always get so defensive whenever someone says a bad word against Shirley? Many of the high profile characters get criticised on here, why should Shirley be any different?

This is what puzzles me. Other characters get hate, but Shirley is put on some pedestal.

It's like she's the second coming of christ or something.

She doesn't change

She drags other characters into the beer swilling gutter with her.

To be honest she should be dead by now. Or at least sick with alcohol poisoning.

Most of her appearances lately have been slobbing out on a bar-stool, necking the free voddy, so hopefully it won't take long.

When she's back with Phil she'll drag him off the wagon again, so they can be two disgusting, stinking drunks together - back to square one.

They deserve each other.

The truth hurts. It's hard to defend the indefensible

I can see some of the reasoning behind some of her actions but some of them have been inexcusable and I wouldn't defend them. I love that she is controversial and flawed, makes her interesting to watch.

All I see is a bitter, self pitying aggressive drunk who gets off on having a taste of power. It is not interesting for me to watch but it would be boring if we all liked the same things.

From that lovely description, what's not to like? hahaha! I do prefer Shirley when she isn't in the gutter to be fair. Indeed, it would be boring if we all liked the same things, I agree.
