It's been going on too long and all the twists and turns have made a mockery out of a very serious issue. I thought Sutton did a nice job of looking scared, but since it's been such a long time, JP's fear has lost his impact.

Also, it seems like the Hollyoaks writers are intent on making a rape victim look bad by having him stay quiet and allow his rapist free to potentially harm others. Pretty offensive portrayal in my opinion.

I agree, he's very convincing in his fear and being at the end of what he can take, hopefully he will Be on screen a lot more and get support

It was only a matter of time before Ste was put into the rape storyline. Is there any storyline he isn't involved in? Maybe he'll be revealed as Nico's dad.

I agree, James is very good at acting scared but the more it gets dragged out, the more it loses it's impact. Also am I the only one who finds it slightly weird how JP's fear always goes back and forth. I'm glad he's standing up to him but in one scene, he'll stand up to Finn, not be scared, challenge him etc then next scene he will be terrified. Seems like a complete switch around.

There's always that one character in every soap who is involved in every storyline. They will create contrived friendships, relationships, situations etc to get them involved in the storyline and for Hollyoaks, that character is Ste.

The continuity has been all over the place recently.

The aftermath of John Paul's rape has been abysmal. We still haven't properly delved in to why Finn is like this. We've only been told in interviews. I don't think it has been played out well on screen. I'd rather see some sort of delving in to Finn's behavior than watch Finn and John Paul work together in a kitchen.
