I'm a bit confused. My grandson has the Three £15 top up (unlimited data, texts and 300 minutes). A couple of weeks ago he was in France and used the Three just like home facility quite a bit. Yesterday he made a two minute call to France, not realising that it doesn't work in reverse, but it worked and he doesn't seem to have been charged exorbitantly, however the Three website says £1.02 per minute to France. He doesn't have any credit on the phone other than the top up, and is still showing 287 minutes left. How does this work, does it use the inclusive minutes but use them up at a faster rate ?

Was it a UK mobile he was phoning in France? That wouldn't have cost him anything apart from inclusive minutes.

It would have cost the person he dialled to receive calls though.

Unless the recipient in France was also on Three's feel at Home I suppose.

It had not occurred to me (for one) that calls TO Europe from the UK would be so much more than the roaming rate - from any EU country to any other one - of about 18ppm! It used to be the other way round but is, I guess, an unexpected consequence of the attention to roaming costs!

Well worth a reminder!
