If Kim got the most votes tonight...
Juicy Bug

She'll walk the final.

Tonight was by far her worst night, and she still topped the polls.

I really want to her to win.

True but she was on right after Eastenders and had the closing scene in that too.

Voting seems to be by text so who knows what that will do? Radio 1 listeners text. Eastender's viewers?

Edith though has picked the song the judges didn't like -" f... them its my favourite" is her attitude

Tomorrow there will be more of comedy audience so Ade might have a chance.

I want Kim to win but why do EastEnders stars always get so far in reality competitions from the BBC? makes ya think...

It was a comedy audience with Ruby Wax she came second. I think tomorrow it is anybodys game. The best performance wins. So it is exciting.

Kim is in the final because in the opinion of the program's viewers she is the best singer.

Live with it.

Perhaps because they are people who are accustomed to work hard to a tight schedule and have to be disciplined continually, whereas someone who is under less pressure might be more easy going on a day to day basis? .. just a thought

I agree, she is the best singer, but Carrie & hubby are doing what they do best, and that is teaching these guys how to shout a song instead of singing one.

Also, isnt it kind of traditional for the 1st singer to end up in the last three. I thought Dawn and Debra both sang 1st the nights they left.

That is what I hoped last time .... for Ruby to win

She was an absolute winner in my opinion ... she summed up what it was all about - but on the night, (more so even than Ade who sometimes seems so contrived) but the voters went for the 'real' singer

I agree, I was really disappointed that she was pipped to the post by the 'serious' singer but I really don't think the majority of viewers voted for the 'serious singing'. I'm sure many of his votes came from viewers who voted that way, but I believe the majority came from young girls voting 'Coz e iz fit'. That won't be a factor this time so I really think it could be anyone's game.

Kim isn't that special, but at least she's a decent singer. Edith is all right as a sub Blondie imitation, but when it comes to showing a really good vocal tone , or semi original performance is left wanting, whatever the Radio One hype machine might say.

I thought the praise of Kim on Born To Try was over the top. She was good , but wisely avoided the high bits, which were totally out of her range.

Still, I like her and I hope she wins!

Edith Bowman has an infinitely better voice than Debbie Harry. She just isn't as glamorous as DH was in her heyday.

Isn't that the same mistake Kim's fans are accused of making? Debbie had the right voice and style for those songs. A "better voice" wasn't called for.

It did help that DH was singer/composer/writer for most of her stuff, She could write to suite her voice. That said, I agree with you completely

I'm not quite sure what you mean, Veri. I was responding to grant1's comment that Edith was 'all right as a sub Blondie imitation'. In my view, she is a far better singer than DH could ever hope to be (and therefore not sub-Blondie but super-Blondie, if you will), even if a better voice wasn't deemed essential.

In what way is she better? Do you think Edith could do the Blondie songs better?

Not too sure about this. I've seen DH/Blondie perform live many times from the beginning of her/their career to date, and her nonchalant style of singing is all part of her performance style. I can say though that DH has ample ability to really let rip and blow a crowd away (when She feels like it), plus, She can really give it some welly for over 2 hours without a break .
I'm not really a DH fan as such, much prefer artists from my local Gtr Birmingham area.

In my view, yes. DH has a very thin voice, while EB's is stronger, warmer, deeper, and has, to my mind, a much more pleasing tone.

Maybe it is because EE stars are popular? EE has a very large and loyal fan base.

They don't close the voting.

So people can vote all day before they have even performed.
The majority don't care how good or bad their favourite performs, they just vote.

I was quite surprised that they did the voting like that last night. Surely it's a pretty big spoiler as to who's going to win (for those who hadn't already worked it out)?

I agree that she should easily win tonight if she managed to win on her performances last night. Unless there's a last minute surge of Comic Relief support for Ade (here's hoping).

I agree that all the excitement has now gone out of the show as they have signposted the winner. I'd love a late surge for Ade but dont see it happening with his first song

Vote Ade.. We never know what may happen, We have all Reggie`s voters and Edith .. I don`t think that people who vote for Reggie and Edith will vote Kim.. Not me anyway. Kim is a competent singer and she can care a tune but I need more them that.

That's very true - I'd say that almost all of Reggie and Edith's votes would go to Ade.
