Can't stand them! Really used to like them but they've become caricatures of themselves. Hate their scenes and OTT acting - particularly Kat (so pleased she's finally given birth so will stop rubbing that damn bump!!) anyone else agree that these characters have been spoilt? They feel like pointless characters now and wish they'd clear off!
Grrr rant over!!

Now has got nothing to do with it, they have always been terrible.

They were horrible, annoying characters 2010-12. They're a lot better these days.

I think Kat's entitled to be pleased, these are the first children who haven't been taken away from her by one person or another. It's good to finally see her maternal side, something Kirkwood failed to show when Ronnie gave Tommy back, preferring instead to have her sleep around. Alfie might be a fool at times but his heart's in the right place; good to finally see him with his own children. He deserves it much more than his cousin ever did.

Kat used to be one of my favourite characters but the writers have successfully destroyed her for me with the bad writing and direction for her over the last 4 years. Alfie is absolutely intolerable. Their returns shoud not have taken place and I'm ready for them to leave.

Two characters who should definitely not have been brought back. They were legendary back in their day and should have stayed in the past. Both have been ruined with consistently terrible writing ever since their 2010 return. They're now thoroughly unlikable and I would be happy if both were to leave.

Kat is fine as she's much better now but Alfie is annoying and I want him to leave ASAP.

Alfie seems to play the cheeky chappie all the time then it's hard to see him as anything else, Kat is harder to understand, she needs to have more interaction with her extended family, her father Daughter Sisters, l mean it just doesn't make sense that she would never see them especially now after having twins.

I don't mind Kat.

I've often wondered if Kat Slater was based on the woman in the leopard print jacket and high heels staggering about pissed in the 1998 World Cup video Vindaloo by Fat Les. That woman represents the very best of what is good about England, or used to.

I like Kat still but Alfie is finished as a character in my opinion.

I have always loved Kat and Alfie and still do and I am over the moon that they finally have children that belong to them both and Kat seems to be staying faithful for a change, Alfie has been a victim of crap script writing of late hence the market disaster and getting into a feud with Aleks but he's still a lovable buffoon in my eyes!

Would you keep Kat if you were EP? Would you like Zoe to return to have a scene with her brothers?

I agree with this. We need Zoe back IMO Kat is at her best when she had scenes with Zoe, Lynne and Little Mo

Was Kat annoying from 2000-2005?

Kat's far more tolerable than in her dreadful 2010 - 2012/3 stint, but I agree that Alfie's a plonker and needs to go. His attitude towards Jean is nothing short of absolutely disgraceful.

My feelings entirely. Love both of them especially Alfie, and think they both have a huge future on the show. I too am over themoon that the twins have been born and they're Alfie's

...but IMO understandable.

He's dreamed of having his own children for years and just as it's about to happen he's got a sick woman stretched out on his kitchen floor and another child to look after. Why wouldn't he resent the fact that Kat is being stressed out at a time when she should be at her happiest...the very first time she gets to look after her new born babies.

I love Jean but she can't keep running back to Kat every time she's ill, she has Ollie now. Besides she should have realised before now that she needed professional help.

They lack purpose. Kat being on the stall is nothing new and Alfies schemes that constantly fail add nothing. Putting them vack in the vic is a big no no too. If Jean and Ollie returned full time and ran a cab firm it would open up new opportunities for the family. Alfie could get involved in drug running

Many think Kat and Alfie come as a pair and if one leaves the other will leave too. Jessie is the better Actor out of the two of them, I liked Alfie when it was him, Spencer and Nana but not now. I am surprised Shane has not quit to be honest.

I think its high time for a recasted Zoe to return- its been nine years since she left the Square, is she still in Ibiza?

They were a great couple in their first stint but have been irredeemable since their return IMO. I didn't mind them when they had split

Love Kat and would welcome a pint with her now that she's not pregnant. She's a laugh, loyal beyond words, good heart, has been misguided but is now settling a bit, and truly a gorgeous woman of her age.

Alfie, on the other hand, needs a slap...
