How do you have pizza?
I was hoping to have pizza on Wednesday for tea
Now this may sound a bit silly, as I'm not really "making" the pizza, I have one of those ready made pizza bases (with spelt flour) and going to make the marinara sauce ![]() What I'm unsure of is, I have some meat to go on top like pastrami, bacon etc so might make a Meat Feast type thing, but the bacon is uncooked. Do I need to cook/fry it before putting it on the pizza or doesnt it matter? ![]() Also I cant find any cooking instructions on the packet of the base, I wonder how long it will take in the oven? Thanks in advance

On a plate normally, with some flavoured oils, black pepper and grated parmesan.

Yes you should cook it before you put it on there to avoid food poisoning

Cook it on as high a temperature as your oven will do.

Cook the bacon first. I am doing a pizza with a ready made base tonight. In my oven (fan) I preheat for half an hour at full whack and with a pizza stone, then put the pizza in and it takes 9 minutes.

I go for the Calzone effect - Fry an egg, scrambling it in the pan then cut the cooked pizza in half and fold it over with the egg inside. Two eggs for two halves, natch. Delish but not really suitable for thick base pizzas.

I like a thin/stonebake base with loads of veg. Onion, sweetcorn, mushroom, peppers and jalepenos is a favourite.
