Tyrone's building materials-predicatable? Spoilers-CS
SparkleBee
12-08-2014
So now the wrong floor boards have been laid down. Todd threatens Gary not to say anything and Gary complies. SPOILER: Tyrone falls through floor and gets hurt or something like this. Todd says Gary used wrong material. Gary says Todd threatened with his job if he didn't use the cheaper material. Todd sweet talks/weasels his way out of it. Gary gets the blame and loses his job for something not his fault. If this happens they might as well just start phoning it in.

I hope Tirrone really does himself a mischief.

Even better if the square-headed oaf lands right on top of Fiz and breaks her back as well.

God no. Her screams of pain would deafen half of Manchester.

Spoiler
You are actually right... I think something like this does happen especially if you look in the soap magazines.

And still no one will kick the snot out of Todd.

When Corrie makes regulars into villains, they have no idea how to write them. Pillocks like Todd and Tracy would be getting slapped all the time.

They are much better with guest villains, like the mighty Phelan.

I know Todd isn't a builder but it is totally unbelievable that he wouldn't realise the danger of losing the wrong kind of material for a floor! He looked genuinely surprised when Tony made the comment about not having used the thinner tiles for the loft conversion. He's an intelligent boy for crying out loud!

I think he's as much to blame as Todd, since he used the material despite his years of experience telling him they were too thin. He should have consulted his boos - who isn't Todd. Or even Tony.

Yes, whilst Todd did threaten him he could still have double checked with Tony or Jason. The individual has a duty of care if they feel they are being asked to do something that isn't safe or legal.

Anyone notice - the "loft conversion" seemed to take about 5 minutes, thought it would have been a bigger job than that.

Also no planning permission!

Well said Gulfie.
Tracy would have copped plenty slaps by now (not to mention being called out on being a murderer!) and Todd would have been punched more than once by now.

Stupid.

As if he wouldn't have checked with Todd! He must have his phone number FGS. I thought Garry meekly complying was ridiculous. He knew the dangers of using it yet still went ahead? Deserves to be sacked (if he is) IMO. If I was Todd I'd be furious with him. Oh and I'd slap my brother up and down the street while I was at it and he's be gone an' all!

I honestly don't see why Gary doesn't just go and talk to Jason about it? Jason will keep him in a job?

And can anyone tell me, why oh why does Todd wear formal attire for his job? Who is he trying to kid? Does he think he's Weatherfield's Alan Sugar?

Once it was mentioned about the loft I just that something was gonna happen but why did Gary listen to Todd when Todd threatened to sack him when Gary knows Todd doesn't have the power to so he should have just said that and then speak Jason.

...or apparently complying with building regs, which would possibly pick this sort of thing up. There would have to be a new staircase as well - so the quickest conversion ever. Perhaps we will see all the street residents doing it, then Eileen can cram another few people in her tardis house.

This nonsense is just so predictable - porker Tyrone will fall through floorboards and end up in Weathy General covered in tubes with Fizz by his bedside talking in that silly voice. Garrah of course will get the blame. You dont have to be mystic meg to see this coming.

The collapse won't be entirely R Todd's fault guys. You have to remember that Tirrones filthy hovel is mostly held together by years of filth and dirt. Any attempt to dislodge that would make the dirty building unsafe.
