His exit seemed so rushed and unfinished. It looked like he was going to come back at a later date but never did.

Can anyone shed any light?

Steve was a great addition to Emmerdale, he fitted in well; where is he? The producer of Coronation Street did the same thing with Pat Phelan - had him as an interesting part of the show for a few weeks, then he disappeared.

He played his part.

He and Bernice arrived. He started perving on Nicola. She liked it and accepted big gifts from him. She tried to break it off and he got nasty. She showed Bernice what he was really like. Jimmy paid him back. He left.

Case closed.

There's no need to bring him back, the character served his purpose.

He could have been a better owner of Home Farm than Declan.

Yes. I liked him as a character and thought he had a lot of potential for Home Farm skulduggery, but he just came for one sl, so then he left. No mystery involved.

I think we're all so desperate to get someone great in Home Farm that we're willing to settle. Steve would be settling. The people who move into Home Farm need to be "Upper Class" and think they're better than everyone else with endless reserves of money.

At least then we'd be spared the "I'm running out of money" storylines that somehow miraculously fix themselves with no explanation.
