Has anyone noticed how camp Mick Carter is?

"You never told me you'd been to see Ian" delivered in a camp effeminate voice complete with a hip roll for good measure

And then later the way he said "I went with a tart"

Is this intentional or is Danny Dyer overdoing it?

It's just Danny Dire playing himself again. Not the best actor in the world by a long stretch but he just about gets away with it.

Yes Mick saying he had been with a tart would have been more convincing if Christopher Biggins had said it.

He loves trifle too so there will be a love triangle between Biggsy, Shirley and Babe

I always think it's part of DD's charm, that sort of camp roughness he has.

Ditto. It's like him stealing Linda's pink dressing gown: it just works.

I hate how he says "punters", it's like "puntazzz". But at least his accent is somewhat convincing. I'm still laughing at Joey's fake accent. Awful.

I can't stand him. He is embarrassing to watch. I definitely don't think he's camp it's just the pathetic and overkill of the rhyming slang in every other sentence!

Imo he is meant to be a hard man when push comes to shove and I think we are yet to see this fully but they want him to be different from Phil. So we get to see a much softer side which gives him a more wholesome character than Phil.

He's the weakest of the Carters in terms of acting he's not on the Kylie Babbington level of badness yet.

Also, why are EastEnders obsessed with scenes with him in half naked, or him and Linda in bed rolling around. It makes me feel sick. Well, at least it's not quite as bad as Philth and Shirley in bed. Oh God! We've got that to come!

Pmsl!

I can imagine Biggins in EE he would be a riot! He could come dressed as Widow Twanky or maybe Lukewarm with his knitting!

Mick is a bit camp though I have to admit, he is funny though!

Calm daan tweakle, of course I watch it. Have you not seen Mr Dire in any of his other famous 'football firm' productions where he is essentially the same character?

Also, could you explain why you begin each word with a capital letter, it's very strange.

He's not the best actor, his eyes seem to be drifting to sleep at times but I wouldn't say he's camp. Even in the pink dressing gown.

I think his face and eyes look puffy like he's got some allergy or something. Deffo agree about the hot chip! Classic! Lol... When he told phil "git aaaaaaaahttttttt" the pub the other I had to laugh!
