Should I Leave DS Forums?
lovinglife
13-08-2014
Hi there, I'm lovinglife, and I really am! But, I am considering leaving DS Forums. Partly because it is getting a bit boring! Nothing happens here, anymore- I only go on Soaps Forum. But also, because of the arguments/abuse. I just wanted to ask your thoughts on whether I should leave, and if I do decide to do so, how can I?
No doubt I will be accused of 'attention seeking' but that's just one of the reasons of why I'm considering leaving.

Any kind responses would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

"nothing happens here anymore" - you've only been a member for 3 weeks !

Surely arguments are something happening? Perhaps you mean nothing positive happens?

I like to think that anybody and everybody feels welcome here but in all honesty it is a decision you have to make yourself. If you don't enjoy it here then it's probably not worth your time investing in it? As for how you leave, you just leave. Just don't post. It's not like some secret society where you're in for life unless you pay to go!

I wish you all the best either way x

Go on now go,
Walk out the door
Just turn around now 'cause you're not welcome anymore

If you are bored, you have answered your own question. However, three weeks is the equivalent of no time at all on here. There are hundreds of topics if you look around the forums, and if you cant find any interest then maybe this isn't for you.

Why don't you go on other areas of DS?
It's no wonder your bored when you only stick to one area. When i first joined, i stuck to the music forum. But since last year, i went into the television, cult, movie and soap places and it gave me much more to talk to other members about.

The arguments do annoy me too which is why i don't post on here very often but do not let it drag you down.

Why don't you switch off your pc and go and do something less boring instead?

If you don't enjoy it, just don't log in anymore.

It's not the site's fault if you can't find anything to talk about.

If you want to leave, leave - only you can decide. No need to start another attention-seeking thread about it.

If you can't find an ongoing discussion that you're interested in, why not start one of your own?

These threads never go down too well for obvious reasons, it just whiffs of the OP fishing for compliments.

Only you can make that decision no one else, if you feel that the forum has become boring then try browsing some of the others, you've only been here 3 weeks and it's not long so why not give it another week or so and if you feel the same you could log out for a week or so and have a little time out.

The forum can sometimes get a little bit boring if there's not much happening in the soaps and it's the school holidays as well and people may be doing things with their families and haven't had time to post. Why not start some threads of your own.

Good luck anyway whatever you decide!

What do you expect to happen in a forum? People debate and people argue because we all have different opinions. It's life. Nobody is under pressure to be on here.

I suggest you leave, if being here for less than a month is causing you such turmoil.

This isn't really appropriate for the Soaps forum.
