Yes I think the video really highlights how much she progressed throughout the competition!

Glad you like it!

I haven't been in this thread for a while. How did Sax end up doing in the States in the end? Any news on the album's release over there?

she flopped. it's a matter of time before she's dropped from Syco. Completely lost all faith in her.

Fleur's trip to the states went really well, and she made a good impact.

The promo opportunities that Fleur received in the US were high-impact, but short-lived. After her Today show appearance, her song spiked on iTunes, but the effect didn't last.

It was utterly predictable. In order to launch a new artist in the US, you need sustained, almost relentless, promotion.

Columbia have a track record of this with Syco acts. They've done the same thing with Ella Henderson, Little Mix and Olly Murs. If you take that approach, you may score a hit single at best, but you won't shift albums.

Thank you Jake it hardly flopped it had potential, it Just didn't get picked up by radio yet did really well on iTunes but radio play hasn't kicked in so longevity got lost it had legs but appearances aren't enough she's going back for more promotion when her album is released, breaking the states is hard she needs relentless promo and a radio deal - you clearly haven't a clue about the American charts or how it works.

Columbia need her back out there and need to get her on the radio - it's not her she's brilliant she has a shit label - Cowell may drop her she may end up getting picked up by someone better then he'll be pissed. I just can't see it at the moment Simon adores her and has supported her and still is - even if she parts with them I can't see it being on bad terms he's supported her the level he did with Leona - I'm excited to hear fleurs new material.

She's working on her second album right now.

Sounds interesting, so maybe a bit of good news on the way.

Reaching the Itunes top 100 (What was it? No 90?) for a matter of hours is hardly brilliant. Nope, the song wasn't picked up by radio's and maybe there's a reason for that. To have more promotion she must show some success and stability, unfortunately she's still majorly relying on her record label, sponsorships and festival performances. She hasn't developed a worthy fan base, hasn't had success besides from Sax. At the moment, she's a one hit wonder and this name will likely stick if she doesn't release a new hit. Breaking the states is hard, but it should've been postponed. The interest has vanished in the UK and her US promotion tour failed. For what was described as a 'world class album' by Cowell to result in just 1 hit and only perform well (album) iin the UK is definitely disappointing.

I wouldn't blame their friendship for his adamancy to drop her - which I'm really surprised about. But i think it's fair to say Fleur NEEDS Syco right now, if she was to be dropped, she'd quickly fall into obscurity. Her first album was amazing! It performed okay in the UK, you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. People are forgetting Fleur already, and if album 2 does come out, it'll have to be very soon but i can't see a release until 2017 onwards. And the fact her fan base is very small, people will lose their faith, just like i am.

Ps. Fleur FLOPPED in the US. Sure, she might pick herself up. But to deny this is insane - I do not believe for 1 second many people watching her performances still remember her name. Her music debut has been one big mess.

It actually got to 72 and it could've gone higher if radio played it - let's not pretend it didn't have potential

She's recording her second album atm hence why she hasn't released anything - syco must've deemed it necessary to move on from Love Sax and Flashbacks which yes is a fantastic album which has sold over 100k based on one hit let's give her some credit.

She's going back to America I presume with other material during fall - probably a collab.

There was oodles of potential for Fleur let's not pretend she's not with a shitty label, I am looking forward to hearing her next album! And actually she still has a fan base probably outside social media which isn't the be all and end all it all depends on her material!

You may not follow Fleur closely but I can assure you she's busy

Her festival set as follows

Gold watch
Breakfast
Know your name
Kitchen
Baby don't dance
Uptown funk
Sax
More and more

Sometimes she switches up and does baby don't dance instead of kitchen and vice versa

She's receiving a lot of media attention recently, I wonder why. Checked one of her YouTube videos and a user said they're releasing Gold Watch, probably false though.
