Wow! Don't get me wrong, I love Fleur - for me she was the winner last year...
...but, her song is on nearly every advert break.

Where is Ben's promotion???? Seems unfair to me.

SC realised as soon as Fleur reached the live shows last year that she would be the most marketable of the contestants, and he has been proven to be right.

i find this whole 'unfair' thing utterly ridiculous. how on EARTH would Bens single have fit on the asda advert ?!
he got a spot performing on x factor, he got arguably the most successful talent contest winner ever dueting on his first single - what is unfair about that?!
i also think he has done pretty well so far - for a male x factor winner anyway.
he will be dropped eventually ofcourse, he simply does not have the stage presence, and as a performer hes pretty dull. he was always going to win as he is your classic bored/desperate housewives wet dream - and ofcourse these voters never actually go out and buy the music.

I doubt if we will ever know, but it would be interesting to know what percentage of the people that actually vote for XF contestants go out and buy their music.

What you're saying is spot on and i think X Factor missed a trick by not rushing out a album of slushy covers on mothers day as that would have been an ideal opportunity for the bored/desperate/middle aged housewives to receive the album off their kids as a present.I can't see him lasting long because i don't think there's a market for him.

I absolutely adore Breakfast!! It's just as good as Sax, if not better. I know most of the words already

Breakfast at No 87 in the itunes singles chart, even though it is only available to those who have pre oredered the album which is very impressive.

Breakfast is another song that fits perfectly with what sells at the moment.

Wow condescending and sneering much!

Contrary to your belief people buy a lot of music that ain't current pop. Check out Andre Rieu's global success! There are many artists out there who don't fit the Fleur mould. She leaves me cold as sounding like many other pop successes but that's because she isn't a vocalist. Each to their own.

You're right though. Voters don't buy the music ordinarily. There have been a number of exceptions to that though over the years. Fleur sounds like all the rest to my ears. Here today gone tomorrow. I may be wrong though. XF has had its day really, time to move on. They aren't an example when it comes to discovering the next sensation.

Maybe they will have her as a guest one week which would be great.
