These are nothing more than paid up promotions, it just seems like it's been written by a 10 year old and to compare her to MJ is pathetic.

I don't think it was a literal comparison to MJ I think it's more her sound that she's going with is similar not that she is the next MJ!

And yes I saw her interview on Lorraine - she comes across so well, I wonder what her next single will be!

She may well wait a while as the album will probably be in the charts for quite some time. Maybe a brand new single in the spring time. Looks like a tour might be on the horizon as well.

Most of Simon's artists tend to do very well at the first album, but the longevity factor with his artists is questionable, very questionable. Fleur would do well to get out of her current contract ASAP.

Fleur can be very proud of her debut album. It has a very good variety of up beat and good feel tracks which will appeal to all ages. Well done to her.

There are so many tracks on this album that could be singles, Gold Watch, Kitchen, Love me, or leave me. I love the album on first listen. Very catchy and upbeat, which is refreshing. I predict a top five entry.

Really good debut album, one of the best of the year, could've done without the UF cover though... Otherwise great! Finally the show has someone more recent than Little Mix making success/good music! (No I'm not that fond of Ella, despite loving her voice)

During last year’s X Factor final it seemed pretty clear that Fleur East had it in the bag didn’t it? I, along with a lot of the nation, was pretty shocked when the eventual winner was announced as Ben Haenow. Not to take anything away from Ben but Fleur proved that she could compete with the best female artists out there (and likely wipe the floor with them judging from THAT Uptown Funk performance). Nearly 12 months on and both Ben and Fleur are promoting their debut releases and it seems to me that the real winner really was Fleur after all. Following her show-stopping performance of debut single Sax on The X Factor, Fleur has delivered her debut album Love, Sax & Flashbacks.

Whereas Ben has gone for middle of the road blandness, Fleur has been given material that really suits both her voice and her personality. Sax was a very calculated effort to recreate Uptown Funk and it’s paid off hugely. Despite the obvious similarities between the two, there’s no doubt that Sax is one of the best pop songs this year and Fleur delivers it with such conviction that you can’t help but be swept up in the energy of the track. With its catchy hook, sing-a-long moments and big beats Sax deserves to be the hit it has been, and so much more.

Love, Sax & Flashbacks is a surprisingly confident debut from Fleur. When I think back to how meek and mild she was until midway through the live shows, it’s clear that the singer has come a long way in a short time. This debut effort drips with confidence, sass and plenty of energy as Fleur moves through a variety of genres taking inspiration from the 70s, 80s and 90s. After the uptempo Sax things move to midtempo R&B pop on the cheeky Breakfast, one of several tracks to feature Fleur’s rapping skills.

For the most part Love, Sax & Flashbacks keeps things uptempo. The funky hip-hop of Love Me or Leave Me Alone sees Fleur singing and rapping telling a lover to make up his mind, Tears Will Dry takes things to the club, Like That is the catchiest song that Beyonce has never recorded, and Know Your Name takes a reggae-lite beat witching things up.

Elsewhere on the record Fleur borrows Donna Summer’s ‘beep beep’ moment from Bad Boys on the 70s funk of Over Getting Over, name checks Tina Turner on the bombastic Kitchen, and borrows some 80s disco for the catchy Gold Watch, which could easily be Sax’s sequel. The highlight on the record is the slinky and seductive Paris. It shows a completely different side to Fleur and is one of the more soulful moments on an otherwise fairly in-your-face record.

The deluxe edition of the album comes to a close with Fleur’s now iconic live performance of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk and her cover of the Alicia Keys hit Girl on Fire. I’m glad Uptown Funk was included on the album as it was the point where X Factor viewers started to see Fleur as a real contender for pop stardom.

When it comes to really great debut albums from X Factor contestants, Fleur is up there with the best of them. Not since Leona Lewis’ debut effort Spirit has an album by an X Factor contestant got us so excited. More consistent than Alexandra Burke’s debut Overcome and packing more punch than Little Mix’s DNA, Fleur has delivered one of the best albums in X Factor history and I’m confident this is the beginning of huge things for the rising star.

4 Stars out of 5

Look I will include, what has been the most negative review of Fleur's Album. Im sure it will cause discussion also. I personally don;t agree with it, but here it is anyways.

What’s remarkable about Fleur East’s album opener, Sax, is not its similarity to Michael Jackson’s Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, but that it seems bereft of actual sax. Maybe it’s low in the mix, or maybe they believe that instructing “you’ve got to play that sax” will distract us all from the woodwind instruments’ cruel omission. Sadly this X Factor graduate’s debut seems to have been made under the assumption that if the songs dazzle with bright lights and fanfare the public might not notice its vacancy. Having impressed TV audiences with her Uptown Funk cover last year (a version of which appears here), much of her material pedals a similar style. Whitney Houston and Chaka Kahn are also clear influences, while Over Getting Over is a monster of an R&B tune, a freaky, disco-influenced track ramped up on Red Bull. Her enormous energy cannot be faulted, but here lies little substance.

2/5 stars

It's great to read the good reviews but it's also very important to read the bad and not so great ones - this will keep Fleur working hard and trying to top each and every track to better herself to achieve a higher star rating next Time.

All this - it's a learning curve, she's establishing herself and she is figuring out who she is and whilst people will love her album - others won't and that's okay! I'm no fan of beiber or Adele but they are smashing the charts! every artist will split the nation but Fleur is brilliant and she will go on to do amazing things with the backing she has.

The way I see it is - every newspaper article, review and comment will better Fleur through out her career and her music will get bigger and better everytime!

This is true, The Guardian only gave her two stars in what was a very short review, but as with every artist you are never going to please everyone, and at the end of the day all of the reviews are just one persons opinion.

I'm assuming Cowell will be bringing Fleur back to duet with all 3 finalists next week, so that should give her album another boost.

I did reply to the lady tbh as even if she did'nt like the album the review was very short, and not worthy of the paper, and to be honest a compolete waste of ink.
