Shel probably be dropped then even tho she's done better than the winner there is less pressure for runner ups
Simon has arguably pumped more backing and money into Fleur than Ben so you cannot really compare them, even if she does do better Ben that is irrelevant because she is now also competing with THE REST OF THE MUSIC industry. Not just Ben, The Xfactor is over. Now it is down to business. Top 5 and she is fine, anything less and Cowell will go ballistic.

thought you fleurians might want to know, last week a swedish idol finalist performed sax in the semis, I think the song was discovered by a lot of ppl then and has gotten popular since. I don't have a working link cuz they tend to be restricted to Sweden, but her name is Amanda Winberg i believe

Lol never said that, what a stuck up comment :P although she does look a lot better than fleur, and I like her voice and singing a lot more than fleur's too, my fave got eliminated as nr 3 though only thought you'd want to know that the spng has gotten some publicity here, good for fleur, etc.

I guess it does give Fleur some publicity in Sweden.

Just listened to this album on Spotify and it's honestly my favourite album of 2015. Each song is so strong and I love the up tempo and feel good sound it has to it.

I hope this does well for her.

That's great news! Glad to see Sax getting some international recognition too! Hope you liked it ASwede!

I was just listening to the previews on Itunes. Does anybody think Know Your Name sounds a bit like Louder by Parade in parts?

Syco will make more money from her eventual tour than any album itself, so I wouldn't care too much about album sales. Top 10 debut is good and there are enough single-worthy tracks to give it some legs, especially on streaming. Paris and Breakfast are obvious singles.

This is right as i am sure there will be lots of people eager to see Fleur in concert after her recent performance on the show.

Don't forget we've yet to see if she'll break America. She's not signed a US deal yet, but I presume she will since Ben signed one despite selling less here. So hopefully that will give her career a big boost

You're being rather presumptuous. She's sold more of one single. We've yet to see how a follow up single does without the huge marketing push (and for that matter a no expenses spared XF performance). Or indeed how the album does (which currently seems to be slightly slower selling than Ben's). Frankly, unless the follow up singles can buck the general trend, do well and generate significantly more album sales she is very much in danger of being dropped. As is Ben, for that matter.

Fleur is doing fantastic! so proud of her Id say she will release probably 4-5 singles from this album!

Cannot wait to see future singles, music videos and tour, as everything is just going to keep getting bigger and bigger for her.

Fleur is most defiantly not in danger of getting dropped! her single is flying high, and her album just been released, first single, first album, she is doing great So proud of her, and she is making waves already in european countries, which is a terrific sign.

Syco are in this for the long run with Fleur, that is clear with the promotion she has been getting, and the strength of her writing and production team,

So excited for what is to come from this entertainer

As is always the case with you it is all doom laden with Fleur. Look how well her single has done, and withut help from an established artist.

As for her album sales we wont know until the charts are released to how well it has done. A lot of people will have brought the CD rather than the downloads, so we will have a better picture then.

Not doom-laden. Just a realistic counterpoint to the hopelessly happy-clappy nonsense some of you are spouting on this thread.

As for help - Asda adverts anyone? Sax used as background music on the XF repeatedly? Fleur popping up in every single current contestant's VTs over and over again? She's had more help than anyone since Little Mix.

I've already said we will need to wait to be sure so thanks for reiterating that. As for physical sales - currently no 54 on Amazon so it seems to be doing considerably worse than on downloads. You can pin your hopes on supermarket sales and/or streaming to prove you right as that seems to be all you really care about, but it's not looking overly promising for a top ten debut at the moment.

I'm not wasting energy responding, since there's no logical reason why Ben would be given a US deal and not Fleur when they've both released the same amount of material, yet Fleur has sold more

I'm not being presumptuous at all, thank you

We won't know how well it's done until it's revealed on the official chart. I personally bought the album from her website where I preordered it. People just need to stop jumping to conclusions

Anyways, I am absolutely loving the album!

Fleur fan here and I just want to say not since Little Mix has an X Factor act gained my attention. I was excited to hear material from the girls and they have gone from strength to strength especially with this era doing better than anyone expected.

Fleur I have loved from her first audition and enjoyed her performances on the show every week so I was very much looking forward to hearing her own material. She has not disappointed. I am loving her album aside from maybe 3 or 4 tracks but some people here are going a bit overboard. I am confident the album will go top 10 but maybe at number 6. With Coldplay out at the same time, Little Mix gaining momentum with Get Weird and Justin Bieber, Elvis and Adele looking like they won't be budging any time soon I don't see a top 5 entry unfortunately.

There is no denying she has had a great start and I hope for this to continue but let's be realistic. Some people have their head in the clouds regarding how she'll do. Wait until we see where she charts and how the next single does before we have her in America and other countries.

My expectations for her are not low but they aren't crazy high either. As I said I'm expecting a top 10 album that hopefully will hold steady then hopefully the next singles do just as well depending what she releases. Once we see how this era does then we can see beyond that. Until then I think people need to be realistic. If she doesn't achieve what you expect from her you'll be left disappointed.

As a fan of Little Mix I have wishes of what I'd like them to do. For example tour Australia, Japan and America to gain a bigger fanbase but it isn't up to them so I'm just enjoying the music they bring.

Same as Fleur. I love her and her music and I'm glad after 10 years she's got her break but my next hope is for album number two and a tour. Of course I'd love her to crack America and Europe but for now let's just take her career as it comes.

Also insulting people who have a different opinion is very rude and could put potential new fans off as they'll worry others will assume they are like that. As a Fleur fan I respect others opinions providing they don't insult her personally. Having an opinion on her voice or songs are fine. I used to enjoy lurking in this thread but the last few days have been very hostile and is putting me off reading the thread and seeing others different opinions.

And by the way when ASwede posted about a contestant singing Sax they weren't saying she was better than Fleur so that comment about being no match on Fleur was unnecessary. As a fan I'm interested to see different versions and how people perform it. Stuff like that is what interested me in this thread as well as articles about Fleur and what she's up to or where she's playing.

I apologise for the long post but I thought I'd post from both perspectives rather than a bias view. I get every artist has super fans but this is the first time fans have put me off and I've been around a lot regarding artists.

By the way I'm not making this a Little Mix v Fleur thing. My point was Fleur is the most exciting and best act to come from X Factor since the girls and I hope she gains the same amount of success.

You're not wasting your time responding? But you responded anyway. How does that work?

Fleur has sold more of *one single*. How difficult is that to understand? And actually, if you take into account the winners single Ben has sold more. But this could all change of course, for either of them, which is why basing something off of *one single* is so ridiculous. You're so eager to proclaim some sort of victory over Ben you're basically sticking your fingers in your ears and going 'la la la' while picturing unicorns pooping rainbows.

Why don't you try embracing some actual facts rather than just your hopes?
