Also Sax is being pushed in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand, plus a load of other countries. There's some sort of global launch plan. US will obviously be part of those plans.

You need to chillout a little. It isn't Fleur vs. Ben. One is a really commercial dance-pop artist and the other will take more time to build a following for their sound.

All I'm asking for is some sort of realistic discussion rather than the spurious and blinkered tribal nonsense that certain posters keep spouting. There are reasonable and articulate Fleur fans out there with realistic expectations as proved by cfc86. Sadly it seems there's a tiny handful of fans who seem to want a perpetual advert for Fleur on the MFs, who bump this thread at every available opportunity with flimsy inanities so that it stays on the front page, and then try to shut down any poster making perfectly valid points that don't fit the narrative they wish to sell.

If realistic discussion is not desired by those posters then they should really have the good grace to take it to the appreciation thread.

I was trying to re-enforce what the OP said, that inane posts like hourly updates on album position in random countries do not belong on the main board and if you are going to quote me, perhaps you should quote the whole message which puts the quote into perspective.

Fans of a particular act should be able to swap news and pleasantries with each other that's what the appreciation threads are for. You would also find it would be a more pleasant place for Fleur fans to post and people would be less likely to wind you up and post negative comments.

The posters on there don't post daily updates on where the album or singles are in the chart. They do midweek and where it's likely to chart.

The rest is talk about upcoming gigs, news, tour dates and, case of last night, videos of performances.

I like fleur but dont come here often, this is a discussion thread, not an appreciation thread. People should be able to have discussions about fleur (positive or constructive) without posters like jeref pratically pulling what you said apart and telling you its wrong.

This thread should be used to discuss things and posters sharing their opinions on things. Just because not everyone is up an artists arse doesn't mean they can't share an opinion on them, their album or performances etc.

Agreed. I have no problem with posters saying they love or hate Fleur or commenting on a performance of hers whether it's positive or negative. If these people can't handle the criticism she gets then they should avoid other sorts of media where criticism is a lot worse. They should avoid the music forum too as some posters can be very cutting and rip artists to shreds.

It's actually jeref that has stopped this thread being enjoyable for me. He/she is under the impression only their opinion matters although they do accept comments from others but only if it's about how amazing and perfect Fleur is. There's liking an artist then there's thinking the sun shines out of their arse.

As well as thinking they are right this poster is very rude. Yesterday or Friday another poster mentioned about a Swedish contestant singing Sax and he/she posted the link saying it's no match to Fleur. That poster never said she was and I found that comment tmy jeref rude and very stuck up. I could never speak to somebody like that on here and try my best to be polite to everyone including the rude people. A couple of posters could do well by trying the same.

If someone's posts bother you that much then you're supposed to use the ignore feature That's why it's there.

MayB we should get the thread back on track and post constructive critisicm - I enjoy posting in here I know Fleur isn't everyone's cup of tea but before writing her off maybe just wait and see.

I'm aware her album sales don't look as good as expected but we shall see she's done more than good enough with sax

How is that any different to any other thread in this forum? As I said before if you post on the main board this is what you can expect.

I just skip past them now. The ignore feature doesn't always work as a poster could quote that person and you would still see what they said.

It takes two to tango in an argument I agree but its one person who was rude to ASwede who only posted about somebody covering Sax. You're not rude, nor is Eva or anyone else on this thread.


I think a ballad would have suited the album but I know she said she didn't want one. I actually enjoyed her performance of Will You Be There so I think it's a shame she decided against a ballad.



You get that anywhere though not just this thread but on the forum itself. It's in the soap, music, Strictly, I'm A Celebrity and all the other forums too. Even twitter which is far worse critisicm wise than on here. Not that that makes it any better or excusable.

The X factor cannot work it's magic anymore that's self evident, Fleur has been given a great platform, she is very lucky
