Whoever decide to put the two together made the best idea for X Factor this year.


The should have released it end of November. Could have done better then possibly. Ooh nice idea about More and More. I'd like that as her next single.

The best the show have ever pronounced, in my opinion, are Leona, Little Mix and Fleur. I know people aren't that keen on Leona now but I Am is a pretty solid album.

You're discounting the fact that at any other time of year she'd probably sell less just like all of the other artists would - album sales across the board peak in the run up to Christmas.

I'll be extremely surprised if she gets 25k, she was on less than 18k yesterday and charts close at 11pm, so there is no way she would of got a top 5 position with them sales in any other week lately anyway. Personally I think she should of released before black friday because she could of picked up alot of extra sales.

It's a shame the album hasn't done well but sax has done amazingly well - which say to me she ain't gonna be no album artist

So they best churn out loads of singles to get the money back

Chart update on buzz jack she's remained at 11 so just missed it what a shame!

I believe it's closed now!

She's sold 24k copies more than Ben in first week but charted lower I think it's coz Coldplay and Adele are selling loads

It closes at 11pm tonight so unless she is extremely close to #10 and has a last minute surge, it's unlikely she'll make the top 10. What a shame.

Hopefully her X Factor performance this week will see a rise in sales of Sax or the album (or both)

Theres word on twitter that's she's very close - have to wait and see. She may get there by skin of teeth

Her voice is sounding a bit tired, probably from all the performing she's been doing. Hopefully it's all better for Saturday's performance!

Of course Sax has done well, since Asda picked it up for their Christmas ad campaign, plus it's a party song in party season and perfect fodder for using on TV shows as background music.

Just be happy that it has done so well .

Fleurs vocals on girl are Fire are really quite wow I never thought she could sing that high.

It's a shame she didn't put any ballads on there it would've given th album light and shade I think her album is brilliant but it did need a couple slow numbers.

She reminds me of Alex Burke in some of the songs!

Hyped to the high heavens, big XF performance, a shed load of promo, yet it looks like she might miss the top 10. This won't be good enough for Cowell. Also, XF finishes tomorrow so going forward they'll be no huge XF performances to help give her a boost.

This is right. In a way Alex had a similar problem with her debut as it was full of lots of uptempo dance track, and not enough ballads which she is much better suited too.

Alex had ballads on her album. Although it was primarily an up tempo album, there were a few ballads on there to balance it out. Also, Alex's album went to number one and sold extremely well. The album went double platinum.

You have to take into consideration that album sales were much higher then than what they are now.

If the album market wasn't as big and competitive as it is right now with her predicted sales she would have easily made top 10 possibly even top 5 . She's a new artist who's only released one single I personally think it was a mistake releasing her album so soon and think they should have waited to release it after another single but what's done is done now. I'm sure she will be just fine she just needs to keep releasing new singles that will help sell the album in the new year and hopefully her performance at the X Factor Final tomorrow gives the album a boost for next week as well . Sax has also spent a good few weeks in the top 10 as well so I'm sure Simon and Syco know that she is more of an singles artist than she is an album artist .

Albums full of uptempo tracks never seem to sell well. In fact, I struggle to think of many. It was a tactical error not to mix it up a bit.

Come on lol ! It's one week of sales, she has only released the one single. Fleur will be absolutely fine. There is so many singles to be released. And unlike most X factor acts Fleur is getting radio support. Sax is still flying high in the charts. In say 6-8 months of the sales of the album are under 100,000 then yeah I would be worried, but there is so much promotion with the album to do. She is a new artist and must establish herself and the album. If sax didn't do well then yeah their could be problems, but it is a smash hit.

Good charting second and third singles with good music videos and performances is all she needs. Fleur is going to be fine.

I'm a realist, and with a business and marketing background I know that this is only the beginning of the campaign for Fleur. The song has charted in other regions without any promotion from her, so label bosses will see there is a demand for her elsewhere as well as in the UK.

Fleur is a 21st century artist, where singles are primary focus, getting radio support, live performances and endorsements are key, along with a good image her main revenue will be as a regular touring artist. Fleur is an entertainer.

I agree with this. SYCO made a huge blonder releasing the album when he did. The single was doing really well, and the release of the album could easily have been delayed until the middle of January when it would have done so much better. As it is she has done pretty well to get to the position that it is.

I love her version of Girl On Fire. It was the closest we got to a ballad.

No ballads was a huge mistake. I think she would have been #7 or at least top 10 had she balanced the album out.

I was thinking that too. I don't know if you mean the songs or something else but for me a couple of her songs reminds me of Alex voice wise.


I hope she isn't dropped and Cowell gives her a chance but the label should have released a second single first followed by the album 2 weeks later. As a new artist releasing an album after one single was risky and unfortunately this risk didn't pay off.


Unless you're Adele but she's on a different level.

I do agree though that sales aren't as strong nowadays but given the promo she got people expected a top 10. Cowell probably expected top 5. In terms of expectations she kind of disappointed. I do hope sales improve and it doesn't go from #11 to #33 for example.

Alex had the perfect balance. She had a lot of uptempo but four or five songs were ballads. If Fleur had even had two it could have made a difference.
