Weird thing is, I live in a quite deprived part of inner London, where usually everything's difficult, and you can get a GP and dentist easily here (sorry if I sound smug). Do you have a dental department in your local hospital? You won't be wasting their time, if you had a dentist they might be referring you there anyway....
